Self-catering holiday accommodation in Studland

The village of Studland is well known for its beautiful long sandy beach which stretches from the village for two miles towards the mouth of Poole Harbour. With a number of attractive buildings as well as a friendly pub, the village is a lovely place to base yourself while on holiday in Purbeck. Studland is a great holiday destination for walkers and nature lovers as there are a variety of footpaths that run along the coast to Swanage and across the heathland towards Corfe Castle and Arne.

It is also home to wonderful areas of nature reserve which attract a rich variety of bird life that can be observed from a number of bird hides. You can take a guided tour or self-guide around the dunes and wetlands behind Studland Beach, either way you will see some marvellous species. There is wonderful swimming in the bay or if you want a little more adventure, you can head to the towering chalk stacks of Old Harry’s Rocks at the south end of Studland Bay, best seen from high up on the coastal path. From Studland Trekking Centre you can even go horse riding along the sandy beach, or take an alternative route into nearby Rempstone Forest or over Godlingston Heath.

Wind down with a game of golf at Purbeck Golf Club, situated between Swanage and Studland – with beautiful views over both Studland and Poole Harbour, it is worth teeing up for the location alone!
