This smart and stylish first-floor apartment in Swanage is both homely and modern. It’s perfectly located if you want to spend some dreamy days stretched out on the town’s gorgeous sandy beach (0.5 miles) or exploring the nature trails of Durlston Country Park (1.5 miles). Located on the cliffs overlooking the town, there are some wonderful views from Durlston, and you may even be lucky enough to spot pods of dolphins just off the coast. Alternatively, head to the town’s restored Victorian pier (1 mile) to take join a sailing trip or go diving – a host of fascinating sea life makes itself at home beneath the pier’s boards. Swanage also boasts a whole plethora of quirky second-hand shops and antique stores, so shopaholics can easily lose a day in its independent boutiques. Alternatively, hop aboard the Swanage steam railway (0.5 miles) and take a day trip to Corfe Castle (5.5 miles) to enjoy the breathtaking views across Purbeck.

Step inside and you’ll find a light and spacious holiday home that welcomes guests with its chic, minimalist decor. The lounge/ diner  offers a comfortable fabric sofa and a large dining set with plenty of seating. Sands includes two lovely bedrooms , modern and spacious – one king-size and one twin (zip and link twin beds can be converted into one king-size bed on request). An elegant family bathroom with a WC completes the stylish layout.

Step outside and you’ll discover a smart, well-kept shared garden.

Very comfortable apartment in a quiet location within east walking distance of Swanage town centre. Ideal for exploring Dorset and plenty of local walks.

A superb location. Well fitted out. Out of date WiFi - 2.4Ghz only poor quality weak signal. Heating fails to reach bedrooms directly. Lounge thermometer heats up quickly and turns off heating prematurely.

The Wi-Fi was poor, very slow, so we could not watch the digital channels on the TV.

Comfortable , clean, lots of kitchen equipment. Lots of space to Hang clothes including coat hangers. Lovely local art on display. Everything you need is there. Very well presented flat well looked after. Check in time was a little bit late 3pm could have been better. Check out time to early 10am could have been more fitting for our time. In general I find this property first class, my only grouse with Original Cottages is that you don't get first option to renew again for the same time to the following year, it's first come first served.

This property was excellent and well stocked as usual, house keepers always do an excellent job. Our issue is with the fact the prices for next year have risen by over 300 in one year, either owner is getting greedy or Wyke Dorset Cottages being taken over by Original Cottages has made the price jump means we will not be staying here in the near fuRead moreture! Holiday property very well maintained, very comfortable and so convenient. Stayed there twice now and just booked again for next year as we enjoy it so much!
