Self-catering holidays in the North of the Isle of Wight
The North of the Isle of Wight is a very diverse region, with beautiful coastline full of wildlife to the West, a spectacular area of wetlands and estuaries to the East and the famous sailing town of Cowes splendidly perched in the middle. The latter is home to some historic gems including Osborne House, former summer residence of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, as well as being famous for Cowes Week in August, when sailors from near and far come to race in the regatta.
To the East of Cowes is the popular seaside resort of Ryde, whose long sandy beach makes it the ideal place for a fun-filled family holiday at any time of year, and to the West is the Hamstead Heritage Coast, excellent walking country offering spectacular views over the Solent towards the South of England. Offering a heady mixture of coast and country, the North of the island is perfect for those looking for a holiday with a difference.
