This lovely cottage is in picture-postcard countryside and enjoys open views from most rooms across fields to the Solent. The Hampshire coastline can be seen in the distance. It is in a great walking and cycling area with footpaths and tracks extending in a variety of directions including to the coast at Wootton Creek, the woods of Briddlesford Copse and Arreton Downs. The cottage is in an excellent location for exploring the island with many places to visit within an easy ten-minute drive. These include the island home of Queen Victoria - Osborne House, Quarr Abbey, Havenstreet Steam Railway, Butterfly World, a Lavender Farm and Robin Hill Country Park. The small floating bridge at Cowes offers easy access to the shops of West Cowes and to the countryside and idyllic coves on the west side of the island. The larger east coast sandy beaches of Ryde, Appley and St Helens are also nearby.

The cottage is over 200 years old - beams and original features have been retained. It has been furnished and equipped to a high standard to provide a stylish and relaxing place to stay. On the ground floor there is an open plan living room with a striking dresser, a grandfather clock and inglenook fireplace, plus a Smart TV/Freeview/DVD - a delightful place in relax in front of the warmth of the wood burning stove.
