Self-catering holiday accommodation in Kingston
A beautiful rural village on the hill overlooking Corfe Castle, Kingston is lovely place to base yourself for a beach holiday. Only a half an hour’s walk from the iconic ruins, one of Britain’s most famous survivors of the English Civil War, it is also not far from the pretty village of Worth Matravers with its rocky Winspit Bay. Walkers will enjoy the short walk to the beach at Chapmans Pool, passing through woodland and hills as well as a walk to Hounds Tout which has spectacular views along the Purbeck coast.
Kingston is also near to the beaches of Swanage and Studland, both known for their stretches of soft golden sand. The village itself is dotted with pretty stone-built and thatched cottages and there is a beautiful church and a village pub which also has wonderful views over Corfe Castle. For days out, you can drive along to Studland and Godlingston Heath Nature Reserve or visit the iconic Durdle Door, a natural limestone arch on the Jurassic Coast, one of Dorset’s most photographed landmarks.
