The Cart House is very attractively situated on the 3000 acre Trigon Estate. It is one of three cottages in a small peaceful hamlet in a delightful rural area with walks directly from the house. Two golf courses and the RSPB site at Arne within 5 minutes drive. Sandy beach of the small resort of Swanage is within 10 miles. This property has, as its name suggests, been converted from the original cart house for the Trigon estate and it dates back to 1850. It is built with an attractive combination of brick and wood with lovely large windows. The Cart House has delightful gardens of almost an acre.

This spacious, charming detached cottage is a few moments walk from the heart of Worth Matravers and its delightful village green and duck pond. Worth Cottage has 4 lovely bedrooms, a large fitted kitchen and a charming sitting room with wood burning stove. Beautiful gardens of almost an acre. The sandy beach at Swanage is a 10 minute drive away and the cottage is only a 15 minute walk from the sea at Winspit. This beautiful area is part of the Jurassic Coast and is a wonderful walking and cycling area.

The Bakery Cottage is a lovely stone property which stands in the centre of the charming village of Langton Matravers amidst beautiful Purbeck countryside and within a few minutes drive of the sandy beach of the small resort of Swanage. Arne Cottage is beautifully situated in the heart of the Purbeck countryside and close to the stunning inland estuaries of Poole harbour. It is surrounded by beautiful woodland and is a short distance from the RSPB nature reserve at Arne, where the BBC’s popular Autumnwatch and Winterwatch programmes were based last year. Here, bird lovers can enjoy looking out for Dartford warblers, nightjars and avocets to name just a few. There are a variety of marked walks for visitors to enjoy, which lead through the reserve and on to the coast at Shipstal Point. Arne also has a Saxon church, as well as small shop and cafe serving lots of local produce. Nearby places to visit include Corfe village, with its iconic castle, teashops and pubs, as well as the sandy beaches at Studland and the small coastal resort of Swanage.
Arne Cottage dates back to 1863 and has lattice windows as well as attractive climbing plants adorning the brickwork, including a beautiful climbing hydrangea. It is a charming semi-detached property offering comfortable accommodation across five bedrooms for ten guests. The cottage is surrounded by both RSPB and the National Trust protected lands of Middlebere and Hartland Moors, and serves as an ideal base from which to explore the wonderful Isle of Purbeck countryside by foot and bike.
The cottage opens into a welcoming hallway with a writing desk and chair. The focal point of the property is the newly equipped open plan kitchen and dining area - a wonderful bright and airy spot with glass bi-fold doors along one entire wall. These fold back to make the outside terrace feel like part of the room. The superb fitted kitchen has ample workspace and is very well equipped, with two microwaves, two ovens with grills, an induction hob, full sized fridge freezer with ice maker, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble drier. The dining table accommodates 10 comfortably. Also on the ground floor is a good sized living room with generous sofa seating for the whole party, positioned around a feature fireplace (we regret that this cannot be used). A Smart TV with DVD player, as well as lots of games and books are provided for guests’ enjoyment. There are two bedrooms on the ground floor; a double bedroom and a twin room overlooking the garden with a chest of drawers. Hanging space is provided in the adjoining hallway, which also leads to a shower room with shower cubicle, WC and basin. There is also a cloakroom with WC and basin provided on this level. Stairs lead up to three additional bedrooms, plus a tiled family bathroom with shower cubicle, bath, WC and basin. The bedrooms comprise of a triple room with built in wardrobes and chest of drawers, single room with a desk and some drawer storage, and a double bedroom with TV and DVD player, dressing table and storage space. A travel cot and high chair can be provided. Central heating, electricity and WiFi are all provided without extra charge. Outside of popular periods, a reduced rental cost may be offered for groups of 6 or less, when using just three of the bedrooms.
Arne Cottage has an attractive fenced rear garden which is laid to lawn with shrubs and small trees. This can be accessed through a gate to the side of the property, or onto the adjoining terrace via the bi-fold doors of the kitchen. Here, a charcoal BBQ and garden furniture are provided for guests to enjoy meals al fresco. There is in-line parking available for at least three cars on the paved driveway. Regular bus and train services are available from the Saxon walled town of Wareham which is less than a ten minute drive away. Wareham has a good range of pubs, restaurants and shops to try, many of which are focussed around the picturesque riverside quay, where day boat trips can be taken out to Poole Harbour and beyond. The popular attractions of Monkey World, the Tank Museum and Lulworth Castle are all less than twenty minutes drive away.
Arne Cottage is a non smoking cottage. WiFi Internet is provided at Arne Cottage. Arne Cottage is available for weekly self catering holiday bookings from Friday to Friday. The normal arrival time at this holiday cottage is 16:00 and the normal departure time is 10:00. Short break weekend and midweek self catering holidays are available from 27th October 2017 to 17th December 2017, 5th January 2018 to 8th February 2018, 16th February 2018 to 22nd March 2018 and 26th October 2018 to 20th December 2018.

The Isle of Purbeck is a peninsular of land located in the South of Dorset and is famous for its sandy beaches, beautiful countryside and the Jurassic Coast World Heritage site. The sea surrounds Purbeck on three sides and nowhere is for from the coast. Apart from the small town of Swanage, the Isle of Purbeck is made up of small rural hamlets and traditional villages.
The North side of Purbeck is dominated by a wooded and heathland nature reserve and where it meets the water of Poole Harbour it attracts a great deal of bird life. The East coast of Purbeck is known for the two long sandy beaches at Studland and Swanage but also for the limestone pillars at Old Harry's Rocks. Along the South Coast is the start of the Jurassic Coast which is characterised by impressive coastal formations like Dancing Ledge and Durdle Door but also for quiet coves and peaceful beaches for swimming.
Much of Purbeck has been declared an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the vast majority of Purbeck remains in the hands of nature. This is ideal for walkers and cyclists who are free to explore large areas of countryside and take in a number of wondrous locations.
