This Victorian villa on elevated ground is only a short walk away from Wheelers Bay. There are wonderful sea views from many rooms and the Mediterranean-style veranda is ideal for gazing out to sea.

This Victorian villa stands on elevated ground within a one-minute walk of the sea at Wheelers Bay. There are stunning sea views from most of the rooms of the house and a five-minute walk along the promenade leads to the golden beach of the resort of Ventnor. Here, visitors can enjoy swimming, paddling and boating, as well as meals at the public house, wine bar and cafes on the sea front. Ventnor also boasts some excellent restaurants at the Royal Hotel and a Michelin star restaurant, The Hambrough. Seahaze Villa is within a stones throw of the coastal path and a pleasant stroll leads to the pretty coastal village of Bonchurch and onwards to Shanklin. Walks westwards take you through Ventnor to some picture-postcard coves and the Botanic Gardens.

Seahaze is a detached villa with accommodation on three floors. The house has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, two kitchens, two sitting rooms, plus a veranda where visitors can relax. This makes the property ideal for two families sharing. Stairs lead up to the front door which opens from the veranda on to the central floor of the house. Here, there is a fitted kitchen with an electric cooker and hob, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator and washing machine; a pleasant breakfast area; a bathroom with a Victorian style roll top bath, built in shower, basin and WC; an open plan sitting room furnished in a country house style with sofas and chairs and a dining area. This room has a flat screen television with DVD player and Hi Fi. It is a light room with open sea views and French doors opening on to the veranda.

Stairs lead up to two bedrooms with open sea views; one twin room and the master bedroom suite - a spacious room with a double bed, television and elegant sitting area with a sofa and attractive Victorian fireplace. The third bedroom is found down two sets of stairs from here on the ground floor of the property - a large bedroom with a double and a single bed; an en-suite bathroom with a Victorian style roll top bath, built in shower, basin and WC which can also be accessed via the hall; a second sitting room with a television, Victorian style fireplace and sofa; a fitted kitchen equipped with a gas cooker and hob, refrigerator, sink and breakfast area. A freezer and washer dryer are also provided. French doors open from this kitchen on to a narrow courtyard with a garden table and chairs. A wooden cot and high chair can be provided in the master bedroom suite. Central heating and electricity are at no extra charge. We regret it is not possible to use the open fires. The cottage has a WiFi connection which can be made available and a telephone for incoming calls.

Seahaze Villa has a walled garden at the front of the property with high hedges, two small areas of lawns and shrubberies. This is a wonderful place with a Mediterranean feel and meals can be enjoyed on the veranda whilst watching the sailing boats pass by. Cars can be parked in a quiet public car park less than a minutes walk from the property, which is time restricted. There is also restricted roadside parking nearby. The house is on a no-through lane with a footpath to the seafront only 200 yards away. General stores and a public house are within five minutes walk. Ventnor town centre is within a seven-minute walk, with regular bus service and a variety of shops, public houses and restaurants.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Fantastic views of the sea, even better if the hedge had been cut a little lower. Plenty of space for 7 though it would be difficult to all sit round a table to eat. A hoover would have been good to go with the bags provided! Would be happy to go back again.

A lovely house with stupendous sea views - well located for Ventnor and walks along the the sea wall, although bear in mind the road is steep. The front garden is charming and quiet, the veranda delightful. Inside it is spacious, but some of the space feels a bit wasted - the two largest rooms are split in two by chimney breasts and you may find yoRead moreurself not using one half of the room much. It is comfortable but perhaps not cosy. But overall an excellent choice for a large group. Hide

This is a huge property in an excellent location with fantastic sea views. The area around the property and Ventnor is very hilly so may not be suitable for older or less able people. The villa has a lovely verandah where you can sit and watch boats and ships go by. There is a coastal path at the bottom of the road that goes from Ventnor or BonchurRead morech. There is a small enclosed garden which is great for dogs and the house was clean and tidy with everything needed for a lovely holiday. Hide

Amazing house with spectacular views. The veranda was a pleasure to sit in, especially with the views. Really spacious property, with lovely sized bedrooms. The basement level (of the 3 floors) was like a self contained apartment in itself, with additional kitchen, lounge, bedroom and en-suite! We really loved our stay and would defo return. ParkinRead moreg the only slight downside, as although a free car park close by, it was very full. Hide

Could be a superb house but feels unloved and out of date. We had dear family with us and scorching weather to enjoy, so made it work. Had to buy a bbq. Window keys missing for first four nights and no fans - was a shame with 3 yr olds on top floor sweltering. Beautiful view and potential to be a luxurious holiday house but lacking the finesse of oRead morene - at the high price charged we expected up to date facilities. Lovely to see dolphins playing in the sea. Royal Hotel brilliant food. Hide
