From the golden sands of Shanklin Beach to the beautiful chine and cliff path, there’s lots to love about Shanklin. This pretty cottage gives up to five guests a great base to see the best of it.

Apple Tree Lodge is situated within three minutes of Shanklin's golden beach where the sand gently slopes to the sea - ideal for paddling and swimming. On the sea front there is a variety of entertainment including a children's play park. It is only a two-minute walk from the lodge to the cliff path for beautiful views across Sandown Bay to the white cliff of Culver. Shanklin is a quaint resort with a collection of interesting shops and restaurants. The Old Village of Shanklin has pretty thatched cottages, tea shops and public houses, plus a beautiful chine.

The lodge has been decorated with care to provide attractive and comfortable accommodation for four people. On the ground floor there is a spacious sitting room with windows to the front and rear - furnished with comfortable sofas, a television and DVD player; a pleasant dining area by the front window which overlooks the garden; a fitted kitchen equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher, plus a breakfast area; a small utility area with a washing machine and small work top freezer; a cloakroom with W.C and basin.

Stairs lead up to two bedrooms; one double and one twin room. There is also a newly equipped, fully tiled bathroom with a bath, separate built in shower, basin and W.C. The lodge is centrally heated and double glazed. Heating and electricity are at no extra charge. A wooden cot and high chair is available, along with a full size extra bed for an additional person in the double bedroom. WiFi internet is available.

Apple Tree Lodge is one of two adjoining properties and it has a pleasant, sunny garden at the front and side with lawns and shrubs. The side lawn is attractively fenced with a small gate opening into the front garden - furniture and a barbecue are provided. In the evening visitors can relax in the garden watching the sun set over the downs beyond the town.

The quickest route from the lodge to the beach involves a two-minute walk and a lift ride from the cliff top to the esplanade. (Open Easter to late October). Alternatively, visitors can walk directly to the beach in about five minutes. One car can be parked in the drive and additional cars can be parked in nearby roads. There is a regular bus service three minutes walk from the lodge, and a train service seven minutes away.
