Ideally situated close to three beautiful sandy beaches, this light and spacious cottage is an ideal holiday home for enjoying a fantastic family holiday in a beautiful part of the Isle of Wight.

This detached New England style house is within a seven-minute walk of two lovely beaches - the quiet sandy Priory Bay Beach and Seagrove Bay, with its variety of sand, rock pools and boating. This is a beautiful coastal area and the nearby coast path can be followed to St Helens and onwards to Bembridge. Alternatively, visitors can walk along the seafront of Seaview into Ryde; a seaside resort with traditional seaside entertainments, plus a swimming pool, ice rink and bowling alley. The Priory Bay Hotel, with its excellent restaurant and cream teas is within a five-minute walk, and the shops and restaurants at the centre of Seaview village are within a 20-minute walk.

Iona is situated in a lane on the outskirts of Seaview. In recent years it has been architecturally redesigned to provide spacious accommodation for eight people in a light and modern environment. It is centrally heated and double glazed. On the ground floor there is an attractive entrance hall which opens into a large open plan sitting room with leather sofas, a wall mounted television with Freeview; a separate fitted kitchen with electric cooker and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer, washing machine and breakfast bar; a dining area, with a large table and chairs and patio doors opening on to the terrace; a second sitting room with a corner sofa, TV with Freeview and a DVD player; a double bedroom with French doors opening into the garden and an en-suite shower room with built in shower, basin and WC; a separate cloakroom with WC with basin.

An American Oak staircase winds up from the sitting room to three more spacious bedrooms; one twin room; a double room and the master bedroom with a king-size bed, television and en-suite shower room with built in shower, basin and WC, a dressing area, and small mezzanine with desk and HiFi system. There is also a tiled family bathroom with a corner bath, built in shower basin and WC. A folding bed can be made available in one of the double bedrooms so that two children can sleep separately; a travel cot and high chair can also be provided. WiFi internet is available.

There is a lovely fenced and gated garden at the rear of Iona. Immediately adjacent to the house is a terrace with garden furniture and a gas barbecue so that meals can be enjoyed in the sunshine. Five steps ascend to a large lawn with additional garden furniture. (Please be aware that there is a three foot drop between the lawn and the terrace. Children do therefore need to be closely supervised at all times). At the front of the property there is a large drive and area of garden. Here, four cars can be accommodated. There is covered storage for bikes. Within five minutes walk is a bus service, public house and general stores. There is a large supermarket and shopping centre in Ryde - ten minutes drive. Nearby places to visit include Seaview Wildlife Encounter, Havenstreet Steam Railway, Robin Hill Adventure Park and Osborne House - the island home of Queen Victoria.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Please note there is a refundable £200 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.

Beautiful cottage, ideal for exploring the whole island, Seaview is quiet with just a couple of places to eat within walking distance, which is down a unlit country lane.

Iona was an "excellent fit" for our party. My granddaughter (2 years and 3 months) loved it, she still talks about "my holiday home!" An ideal base for 8 to enjoy a traditional British seaside holiday. A superb location.

We all had an excellent holiday at Iona Cottage, there were three couples and two children. It is in a great location for Seagrove Bay just down the road. The cottage is spacious and modern and with plenty of parking for three cars. We would love to go back again!

They just don't come any better than Iona at Seaview. You cannot think of anything bad to say or anything to improve upon....and that includes the weather! Worth every penny and your landlord, Simon is a gem.
