Period property occupying one wing of a large manor house, set within three acres of landscaped grounds just outside the picturesque village of Godshill with its shops, tea rooms, pub/restaurants and model village.

This superb wing of an impressive Regency manor house is approached by a sweeping drive. The house is set amidst beautiful gardens and surrounded by rolling countryside. It is a marvellous walking and cycling area with almost immediate access to the renowned Stenbury Trail, Yar River Trail and Isle of Wight Sunshine Trail Cycle route. It is a pleasant ten minute stroll to Appuldurcombe House or to the centre of Godshill with its picturesque thatched cottages, church, tea shops, and public houses and pub/restaurant for meals or drinks. The sandy beaches of Shanklin, Sandown and Ventnor are within a 15 minute drive and Godshill makes for a wonderful central base to explore all that the Isle of Wight has to offer. If golf is more your cup of tea, Ventnor Golf Course is worth a visit with its panoramic views over the countryside and English Channel.

Godshill Park House Wing provides stylish self-contained accommodations of a high standard which is all on one level once inside. There are one and a half steps which lead into a charming sitting room with deep carpets, cushions and sofas, plus a flat screen television with Freeview and DVD player; a dining area in an impressive bay window overlooking the garden; a galley style fitted kitchen with oak worktops, blue and white tiles, a stainless steel sink, electric cooker and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, Dualit toaster, Nespresso coffee machine and a washer dryer; a well equipped bathroom with a bath, overhead shower, basin and WC; a spacious bedroom with a king-size bed, Egyptian cotton sheets, beautiful curtains and a wardrobe. An additional single bed can be made available to this room. Electric heating and WiFi internet are provided without extra charge. A radio and CD player are available, as well as books and games.

The Wing has a private secluded terrace with garden furniture, and visitors are also welcome to use the large lawns at the front of the house. A car can be parked close to the wing or in the small garage. The garage can alternatively be used for the storage of bicycles, small dinghies and beach equipment. There is a regular bus service to Shanklin/Newport with interconnections to most parts of the Isle of Wight within a five minute walk.

Please note there is a refundable £100 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.

This is a lovely property, set in magnificent grounds, and with direct access onto footpaths with beautiful views. The owners were lovely and very efficient. We would certainly stay there again.

An excellent location to reach a range of places throughout the Island. So much to enjoy, not just the peace and attractiveness of the site where we stayed but the nearness of the places we visited, such as Osborne House, Freshwater for Tennyson Down, Morristown, Ventnor close to Steeple Hill Cove .... We kept warm and dry throughout!

Godshill Park House Wing is a beautiful holiday property. It is set in delightful grounds which are really tranquil. It was lovely to be in such a lovely location with some wonderful walks but also close enough to walk into the village which had really good places to eat. We would love to visit again.

Brilliant location to reach many attractions on the island and enjoy regular red squirrel sightings just out of the window! Very comfy and spacious. A really great holiday home.
