This charming apartment is set in the exclusive Haven Complex on the southern tip of Swanage Bay and has panoramic views of the pier and Old Harry Rocks, one of the most famous landmarks on the South Coast. If you can tear yourself away from the captivating views, there’s plenty to do nearby. The dramatic coastline and wildlife at Durlston Country Park and National Nature Reserve is just over a mile away and Swanage town centre, half a mile away, has independent shops, cafes and restaurants as well as a sheltered sandy beach. Outdoor enthusiasts can head to the Isle of Purbeck (5 miles) for countryside walks, cycling, rock climbing and water sports, and walkers can join the South West Coast Path from Swanage.

The apartment is arranged over two floors. An entrance hall leads to the open-plan kitchen, dining and living area, which is furnished with ample seating and striking artwork and has sliding doors leading to a balcony overlooking the sea. The two bedrooms are downstairs and comprise of a king-size and twin bedroom, both with en-suite shower rooms and quirky porthole windows with sea views.

The complex features a lovely, shared garden with seating.

This is the second time we have visited this property and this time we realised that the property is tired and in need of upgrading, mainly the cooker. We looked at 2 other holiday lets on the site whilst we were there and that confirmed our thoughts. On the first evening, the oven, when set on fan mode, made a very loud noise for a long time afterRead more we removed our food. Both Lawrence (handyman) and Frances (owner) responding immediately to our dilemma and we agreed with Frances that we would use the oven without the fan from then on. When we did that, the oven didnt heat up and on that occasion, we ended up taking our food to Frances apartment for reheating in her oven. Frances let us know that she was meeting with Lawrence to sort the problem out and both of them assured us that all was well after tightening a few screws on the fan. We didnt put it to the test until our last night, and there was still a problem.. When we got home, we alerted Frances to this and for the first time she apologised . In addition the tatty bedside white table in the main bedroom could do with a coat of paint and the cobweb in the kitchen area removed Hide

There were a couple of issues with lights not working and connections being unstable. Also I couldnt find a sieve, casserole dishes didnt have matching lids and there was only one saucepan with a lid that fitted. Also would have loved an instruction manual for the microwave. So a bit disappointed in the kitchen area. Pleased with the size of the bRead moreath towels-so often these are just a bit too small! However the position of the accommodation is stunning. I loved waking up to the sound of the sea lapping up under our window and could sit looking across the bay all day long. Heavenly! Hide

Excellent holiday overall with an outstanding location and general set up, but many areas were incredibly dusty. I put some clothes on a shelf in a bedroom wardrobe and when I took them out, they were covered in a layer of dust. There also seemed to be some animal hair in places? Other than that, it was really impressive.

The property is in a fantastic location, the owner is very nice too. The property does need some updating , the furniture in the lounge and the beds are past there best. The double bed mattress despite its topper I way past its life span. A good night sleep is top.of the list....... The location is the best around town

It was the perfect location for us and felt like home from the start. Swanage has all the amenities for a lovely seaside holiday and there was a real community feel in the town. The price was more than we would normally pay, hence the slightly lower score, but for the view, location and homely feel I can see why it is this price during school holRead moreidays. Hide

The position of the property is exceptional. The interior is comfortable and nicely furnished. We had a wonderful holiday and want to go back.

Overall lovely property in great location. However sofas rather tired and tv far too small for room size. Balcony, outdoor furniture and glass balustrade on arrival plastered with solid seagull poo which I had to clean off in order to use the seats and remove the pungent smell.
