An impressive, two-storey property located in a quiet area of the popular seaside town of Swanage, this cottage is ideal for a restful seaside holiday for families or a group of friends who want to explore this delightful part of Dorset together. Swanage is a pretty town with a Victorian pier, lots of shops and places to eat local seafood. There's also a sandy beach just half a mile from the house. Nearby, you can explore Durlston Country Park and National Nature Reserve (1.5 miles) or visit the Jurassic Coast at Lulworth Cove (17 miles) or historic Corfe Castle (5.5 miles) for a great day out.

This is a stylish, contemporary home, with large, bright rooms which are elegantly furnished and offer plenty of space. On the ground floor, there are two reception rooms: the first furnished with comfortable chairs and a TV and the second with a sofa bed, a striking coal-effect electric fire with marble surround and a TV. The kitchen is equipped with all the necessary appliances and the dining table is in the adjoining conservatory, which provides a lovely place to share a meal. Double doors lead from this stunning space into the garden. Upstairs, you will find a bathroom and three bedrooms - a king-size, a double with an en-suite shower room and another bedroom with bunk beds.

Step outside and there is an enclosed patio garden with seating, making for a tranquil and private space to relax. Sit amongst the mature shrubs and sizzle up dinner on the BBQ.

Thus is the second time that we gave stayed at Steam Whistle and both times it gas been exceptional. It's a lovely house, very clean on arrival and well equipped with everything we needed. First time staying at the property and it did not disappoint. Close to everything you need. Short walk to the beach but far enough away to enjoy peace from the hustle and bustle. Steam Whistle Cottage is a very comfortable, spacious and well equipped house, really well located for the town, beach, and all the amenities of Swanage. This was our second year staying there and we would love to stay again next year for a lovely family holiday.
