An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and full of history, the Isle of Purbeck is bordered by water on three sides and forms part of the 95-mile Jurassic Coast, England's first natural World Heritage Site. The area is home to some of the South’s most-loved landmarks including Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door (both around 15 miles), while Brownsea Island sits within Poole Harbour (19 miles), one of the world’s largest natural harbours. Only 5 miles from your doorstep, the coastal town of Swanage has a Victorian pier and is known as a fun, family resort thanks to its gently sloping sands and clear water. Take a journey back in time aboard the Swanage Railway, which operates full-size steam and diesel passenger trains to the coast from Corfe Castle, 2 miles from your holiday cottage

This detached country property in the pretty village of Woolgarston is the ideal choice for a group getaway, with two separate spaces so everyone can gather or enjoy quiet time apart. Enter through a sunny porch and hallway into a welcoming home-from-home that’s always comfortable thanks to a combination of central and underfloor heating. At the heart of any country abode is its kitchen, and the one here has all the must-haves for a fuss-free stay in a light, contemporary setting. Once you’ve cooked up a feast, there’s a large dining suite within a spacious garden room which is flooded with light and also features a seating area complete with Smart TV. There’s a second, separate sitting room with a Smart TV and Blu-ray DVD, meaning that some guests can have their own chill-out space or children can play in one room while the adults unwind in the other. Completing the layout on the ground floor is a cloakroom, and on the first floor, there’s another that houses a WC and the hot water immersion heater. Five steps lead down to the first-floor’s main family bathroom, and there’s a similar step-down to an en-suite bathroom which complements one of the two twin bedrooms on this floor. Completing the sleeping options, there’s a double bedroom and another with bunk beds – all four bedrooms have views over the valley.

Surrounded by countryside, the south-facing garden is laid mostly to grass and is situated on the slopes of Nine Barrow Down – home to a wealth of local wildlife including deer, rabbits and birds.

  • 4 bedrooms – 1 double, 2 twins, 1 bunk bed
  • 2 bathrooms – 1 bathroom with shower over the bath and WC, 1 en-suite with shower over the bath, plus 2 additional WCs

A gorgeous house in a beautiful part of Dorset. We loved the walk to and from Corfe Castle along the hill at the back. On the stormy day we three generations and dog enjoyed each other's company in this cosy home with plenty of games and films to catch up on. Many walks and beaches to explore.

Stunning location and very good value for money. Good dog walks from the door onto the hills. Easy reach of seaside. Seven adults and one child had plenty of room. Downstairs has three roome meaning you can get away from the rest of your group to read or do jigsaws. Good amount of equipment. Garden not enclosed but is not near any one else ofrmajorRead more roads. This was not really a problem for our dogs. Highly recommend! Hide

This is a lovely large holiday cottage set in a large garden overlooking Purbeck countryside. Ideal to use as a base to explore the surrounding area, we all thoroughly enjoyed our holiday.

Large property set in a quiet area but close to the coast, brilliant for bird watching and wildlife from the front door. We have stayed here 4 times now and will be returning again.

This is an excellent family house, with space and a beautiful aspect. It has a pleasing old-fashioned atmosphere and children can't cause damage. Generous with bathrooms and living rooms, our family had a comfortable and enjoyable holiday, whatever the weather. We found the location convenient for all our activities.

The property and grounds are beautiful however even though there have been a lot of improvements since my last stay the cleanliness from the changeover is still poor e.g sofa covered in stains and pet hair, dirty cutlery in drawer , oven not clean etc. If there was a mop to go with the mop bucket I would have washed the floors before I left.
