Escape with your loved ones at this bright and beachy lodge on Colwell Bay. Sleeping four people across two bedrooms, it’s excellent for small families or groups of friends who are in search of a relaxed retreat to call home while they explore the Isle of Wight together. Pack up a picnic and head down to Colwell Bay to watch the colourful fishing boats sailing towards Needle Rocks. In the evening, come home to enjoy a leisurely BBQ on your cottage’s deck.
Park in your private spot and head inside your beach house, where you’ll be welcomed by a light-filled open-plan living space with a subtle coastal-theme interior. Rustle up some dinner in the chic kitchen/diner to share at the stylish dining table. Alternatively, open the glass doors onto the deck, fire up the electric BBQ and host a leisurely al fresco dinner while you soak up the sea views. Afterwards, treat yourself to a chilled glass of wine by the wood burner in the living area. At the end of the day, there are two beautifully-styled bedrooms waiting for you – a smart double and a sleek twin - each with an en-suite shower room. There’s also a sofa bed in the living area. In the morning, kick off your day with a dip in the site’s shared indoor swimming pool, or take the kids to the shared soft play area.
Grab your camera and set off for The Needles (1.5 miles) to photograph the dramatic white chalk formations. Alternatively, head to Alum Bay (1.5 miles) to see its famous multicoloured cliffs - unique geological layers that have been formed over millions of years. Or spend a glorious afternoon strolling around Fort Victoria Country Park (2.5 miles), where you’ll find miles of woodland walks and a historic fort.
