The Coach House is situated on the South East side of the Island in an attractive farm courtyard, with ancient Grade II listed barns and a traditional farmhouse which dates back to the 17th Century. Sainham Farm occupies a picturesque position, lying at the foot of Appuldurcombe Down and above the picture-postcard village of Godshill in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This village is renowned for its church and pretty thatched cottages. It has a variety of teashops and restaurants, as well as a public house where meals can be enjoyed. The sandy beaches of Shanklin, Sandown and Ventnor are only a fifteen-minute drive away.

The Coach House is a stone cottage adjacent to a bridleway which leads through the woods to Godshill. The cottage has electric heating and has been furnished and equipped with care. It has a large double bedroom with an en-suite shower room at ground floor level. A staircase leads from the front door and lobby to a spacious open-plan studio where there is a comfortable sitting room with a sofa and flat screen smart TV; a dining area and a fitted kitchen which is equipped with a electric cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer and washing machine. In-keeping with the history of this property, there are sloping ceilings on the first floor. A stable door opens out from here at first floor level onto steps which lead down to the bridle path.

There is a small garden area at the front of the cottage with a table and chairs so that meals can be enjoyed outside. There is also a lovely communal area of garden within a two-minute walk of the cottage with garden furniture. Wifi internet connection is available. There is parking space for one car at the front of the cottage. The close proximity of the cottage to the Stenbury Trail makes the cottage an ideal base for walkers. We stayed in the coach house, a pretty little cottage, perfect for the two of us and our dog. It was off the beaten track but only 20 minutes walk from Godshill. It was quiet as the grave. Clean and well equipped, a really lovely place to stay.

Me and my partner absolutely adore the Isle of Wight. And this was our second visit of the year. It was the perfect autumn getaway. The Coach House was a warm and cosy cottage to spend the longer evenings unwinding and during the day the location was right alongside a footpath leading to stunning views of the whole island, and also on the doorstep Read moreof the "chocolate box" village of Godshill. We explored the island and it was as perfect in autumn as it is in summer. Highly recommended. Hide

The Coach House is a perfect, snug little hideaway in the peace of the countryside. There is everything you need for a very comfortable stay. The surrounding area is covered with woodland paths for exploring. The village is a 10min walk and there is a small supermarket 5mins drive away. We spent a lovely week there and will be returning next year. Read moreMr & Mrs H. S. Devon Hide
