Simply relax and enjoy some quality time together at this Isle of Wight retreat. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom hideaway at Brighstone, 8 miles from Newport, nestles in beautiful, wrap-around gardens and features everything you are likely to need during your stay. Light the wood burner in winter, picnic in the sunshine in summer and enjoy the games room at any time of year.
Make your way in via the boot room, where you can leave sandy shoes and muddy walking boots. Hop straight under the water in one of your two family shower rooms then head through to the kitchen to unpack any provisions you have picked up. Cook up a treat or two then pull the chairs out from under the table in the dining area. Enjoy your meal together in the comforting glow of the wood burner. The lounge, with its lovely window seat and decorative fireplace, is the perfect place to gather in the evening in front of a good film on the Smart TV. Those with more energy can challenge each other to table tennis or darts in the games room. At the end of each fun-filled day, there are two inviting double bedrooms to lay your head in. One of these opens onto the garden. The outside space at the cottage is also there to be enjoyed. Dine out here and play games on the lawn with children and linger over chilled glasses of wine and light up the BBQ on warm, summer nights. There is private, off-road parking here for one car.
Make some sandwiches and head off for a long walk through beautiful Brighstone Forest, 3 miles away. Spend time on the scenic beach at Brighstone Bay, 2 miles away, which is popular with surfers. Compton Bay, which has views over towards the Needles and Dorset, is a favourite for swimmers.
