We have just returned home after spending a week here. We stayed in Lodge 2. An absolutely fantastic location surrounded by beautiful lakes and stunning wildlife. The Lodge (In Two) itself is lovely. Well equipped with everything you would need for your break, including crockery, cutlery, shower gel, shampoo, hand wash, towels, bedding, mugs, gRead morelasses, bottle opener, tea bags etc. Plenty of plug sockets and light switches. 2 bedrooms, a living/dining area and a fully fitted shower room with WC complete the main lodge. A smart TV is in the living area with a spare plug and HDMI port should you wish to bring a firestick or equivalent with you. The lodge does have WIFI, however it can quickly become overwhelmed and run very slowly. We found the TV worked well if we turned the WIFI off on our phones whilst using it. The outside area of the lodge contains a bar with board games & a heater, a wood fired hot tub with fuel for your first dip, a table & chairs, 2 reclined styled chairs and a charcoal barbecue with your first set of fuel included. A decking area takes you from your lodge to the lakes edge (a guard rail is in place) which gives stunning views of the sunset and lake birds, along with the occasional fish breaching the surface. You have total privacy from both shrubs and a gated fence. The whole outside area can be lit with LED lights which are controlled from just inside the double doors to the lodge. All in all, we loved our stay here and have zero complaints (asides from the WIFI being occasionally temperamental) and would certainly look to stay again. The owners are friendly, approachable and happy to help with any issues. They will meet you at the gate on arrival and walk you through the workings of the lodge and it's amenities. An easy 5 Hide

My family had a wonderful stay at lodge 2, it is cosy, beautifully decorated and came fully equipped with everything we needed (the BBQ and hot tub are a major bonus). The lakeside location was so quiet and peaceful, and we had a great view of the sunset every night. It is a great base to explore the Isle of Wight from and everything is close by (dRead moreriving distance). The owners are very welcoming and responsive, we would definitely return. Thank you! Hide
