This attractive, south-facing apartment overlooks the sea and beach in the charming Victorian town of Ventnor. Set on the first floor and sleeping four guests, it is ideal for a small family or couples sharing. Ventnor’s golden beach is within a 260-metre stroll and offers safe swimming, with colourful vintage beach huts for hire. You’ll find lots of good eateries and locally made ice creams to enjoy. A walk of less than 1 mile leads to pretty Steephill Cove, a hidden gem with a lovely beach. Find more golden sands at nearby Shanklin (3.5 miles) and scenic coastal walks from the doorstep.

Take six steps down from the private car park, to enter your welcoming seaside retreat. The hub of the apartment is a light and airy living space, with comfortable leather seating and glorious, uninterrupted sea views. Sliding glass doors open onto a sheltered, private balcony with bistro furniture, a lovely spot for watching the sun go down. There’s a stylish dining area, and a separate kitchen with all you need for self-catering. Discover two inviting bedrooms: a double, with two windows offering the same lovely coastal vista, and a cosy twin. A separate WC and a family bathroom with a shower over the bath complete the layout.

Explore Ventnor’s amazing Botanic Gardens, where exotic plants and trees flourish in the micro-climate, with secret paths running through the 22-acre site. There’s a wealth of scenic walking and cycle trails around the coast and countryside, or you can see the sights from one of the many open-top buses that criss-cross the island. Visit historic Carisbrooke Castle (10.5 miles) where Charles I was imprisoned before his execution. Climb steep steps to the battlements for marvellous views and meet the resident donkeys to learn how water was once raised from the castle well. Robin Hill Country Park (8.5 miles) offers fun for all ages, with treetop walkways, a maze, crazy golf and more.

A lovely relaxed stay despite the weather. Furniture dated but functional & plenty of storage, kitchen very well equipped. Excellent views, pub & restaurants nearby and good bus connections. Some short steep hills, but doable for us seniors with dodgy knees

The location is great as is the view from the flat but overall we felt we have stayed in much better properties.

A very well equipped flat, in a great location for Ventnor esplanade with lovely sea views. Perfect for a break. The area is very hilly so not suitable for local walks for those with mobility issues, but overall great value for money.
