Indulge in an unforgettable adventure with your loved ones at this charming holiday home in the heart of Norton Green. Sleeping four people across two bedrooms, this cottage is a perfect accommodation option for small families or groups of friends who are in search of a tranquil place to call home while they explore the stunning Isle of Wight together. During the day, spend happy hours experiencing the rugged beauty of Freshwater Bay, which is known for its beautiful chalk cliffs and ‘Stag’ and ‘Mermaid’ sea stacks. In the evening, come home to your cottage’s pretty terrace, crack open a bottle of something cool and crisp, and wait for the stars to come out.

Park in your private spot and enter this stylish semi-detached, stone-built cottage. You’ll be greeted by an inviting open-plan living/kitchen/dining area with an irresistible country-style vibe that’s adorned with a cosy open fire in the living area and a sleek wood burner in the kitchen. Make yourself at home by the open fire in the living area before heading to the traditional kitchen area to cook up some dinner. Get everyone together for a sociable meal at the dining table – the garden views through the floor-to-ceiling glass doors in the dining area are lovely. Alternatively, head out onto the pretty terrace to dine alfresco. Afterwards, make your way to the cottage’s quaint summer house at the end of the lawn to enjoy a glass of wine, or head back to the living area to warm your toes by the crackling open fire. At the end of the day, make your way upstairs and you’ll find two elegant double bedrooms – one with a view of rolling hills, the other overlooking the serene garden. A smart ground-floor bathroom with a shower over the bath completes the layout.

Art enthusiasts will love Dimbola Museum and Galleries (2 miles), which sits in the former home of Victorian photographer Julia Margaret Cameron. Browse the historic cameras and treat yourself to something sweet in the tearoom. Alternatively, grab your hiking boots and head to Tennyson Down (3 miles), a chalk ridge that offers some of the island''s most dramatic views, including leafy chines, enchanting waterfalls, ancient forts and mighty castles.

Nice place to stay, had a lovely holiday there. The location is perfect and very peaceful The house does need some TLC as it has loads of potential. If you are taking your dog, the garden is dog safe even for small dogs . Parking in the driveway is difficult but that is no problem you can park on the road.

This is a truly wonderful place to hideaway for a few days. I didn't want to leave! The garden is absolutely secure, allowing us to let the dogs have free rein. It is also beautiful and a real treat to sit out in. (We had glorious sunshine the whole time we were there, so made full use of the garden!) The house was well stocked with tea, coffee, miRead morelk, cleaning cloths, dishwasher tablets etc. There was more than enough cutlery and crockery etc and a well provisioned kitchen (you can tell the owners actually cook there!) The parking really is for only the tiniest of cars, but this wasn't a problem as the road was very quiet and had plenty of space. This was a very quiet place to stay, no traffic noise or constant coming and going in front of the house. The welcome pack listed the nearest neighbours (and pets) which felt really welcoming, although we were disappointed not to be visited by the farms spaniel (treats provided for this!!) Rooms were warm and comfortable, shower amazing, one mattress apparently softer than the other, but mine was perfect and I'm a bit cross I didn't check the make as I slept the best I have in years! I absolutely loved this place and would visit again in a heartbeat. Hide

A lovely cottage in a great location, very quiet. The cottage was very warm. Plenty of hot water. The kitchen is very well equipped. It's a bright cottage which has been lovingly furnished and decorated; it felt as if we were staying at a friend's house. Big garden which is well looked after and secure if you have a dog. Parking is very tight: we Read moretried to park our small VW Up but gave up and parked on Norton Green which is absolutely fine. Some lovely pubs and restaurants nearby (the Red Lion, the Hut, the Waterfront). Hide

This is a lovely property in nice rural surroundings - although a short drive to pubs, restaurants and shops. It is well appointed to provide a very comfortable 'home from home'. We thoroughly enjoyed our December stay and we didn't even need to light either of the fires for extra warmth. Would definitely return.

A nice comfortable cottage with a lovely safe enclosed garden for our little dog (Maggie). Beds were very comfortable. The lane access was not easy as it was quite a squeeze for anything but a small car. Ditto the parking space. Ideal base for this really lovely west part of the island. A comfortable cottage with a great garden for our lurcher to run about in safely. Good location. Golden Hill country park at the end of the road, great for off lead dog walking. We loved Compton Bay and Yarmouth. We stayed close by as we'd already visited IoW before and done the touristy bits. A charming, very tastefully decorated and comfortable cottage in a lovely rural setting. Lovely safe garden for our dogs to enjoy and quite the best place to stay. The patio doors allow lovely views of the garden and you feel as if the house and garden blend together. Lovely cottage in a lovely, very quiet location, yet only about 5 minutes from Yarmouth and Freshwater. Garden great. Space great for a 2 bedroom cottage. Lots of nice touches around, eg biscuits and milk left for us, lots of tea bags and coffee sachets around, olive oil, great library of books , etc. Would stay again.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this lovely holiday home. Great garden and lots of space. Biscuits and milk on arrival was a nice touch. Very quiet location. Close enough to local amenities by car. Charming cottage - some of the furnishings a little tired but all the better for that as it felt like a real home from home rather than an expensively curated holiday house. Parking is very tight - I couldnt get my Ford Focus into the space and the access lane is quite narrow but there is plenty of space on the road. Nice walks locally so good for Read morethe dog. Lovely peaceful location and neighbours all very pleasant. Would definitely return as made a very good base for exploring the area. Hide
