This stylish apartment set in a picturesque Victorian property in the heart of the seaside town of Swanage makes an ideal base for a memory-making escape with family and friends on the Jurassic Coast.

Accessed by a side staircase and private entrance, head into this quaint apartment, following the warmth of the open fire into the lovely lounge/diner. This vibrant space combines homely touches with antique-style pieces. On the first floor, you’ll find a blissful twin bedroom, brimming with antique flair, and there is a second twin bedroom on the second floor, boasting a beautiful ornamental fireplace and a sloping ceiling that adds warmth and character. Swanage offers something for everyone to enjoy, from the deck chairs and golden sands of Swanage Bay Beach (1 mile) to the scenic cruises from Swanage Pier (0.5 miles) to Poole Quay. Outdoor enthusiasts will be spoilt with the surrounding scenery of the picturesque Isle of Purbeck, which is brimming with countryside walks and opportunities for cycling, rock climbing and water sports. Nearby Durlston Country Park and Nature Reserve, a mile away, offers superb walks along the coast and through idyllic wildflower meadows and woodlands. Running through the beautiful Purbeck countryside and past the castle ruins at Corfe Castle (6 miles), a ride on the Swanage Heritage Railway (1 mile) cannot be missed.

Beautiful period property, located on a hilly street just a short walk from Swanage High Street and the seafront. The property is nicely decorated throughout and well equiped with lovely views to the front. Although we found the beds clean and comfortable and the kitchen and sanitaryware acceptably clean, other areas were just too dirty and dusty fRead moreor us to recommend this property to family and friends. Lovely maisonette in Swanage that was well suited to us. Location was very good - very short walk to the centre/beach front. The kitchen needed a bit more attention to cleaning - but nothing that couldnt be easily fixed! The linen and towels were all clean and mattresses very comfortable! Additional bonus of having two toilets. Well equipped Read morewith a smart TV, washing machine (with dryer included in machine) and drying racks for clothes. The place has a coffee machine as well as a kettle, so we were all happy in the morning. The double bedroom on the top floor has a sea view from the left side of the window, and you can also see the sea when stood on the balcony outside. There are quite a few steps to climb if your bedroom is on the top floor, but wasnt a problem for us. Parking is on-street parking so limited to if there is a space or not. We parked in a nearby car park and payed 50 to park there for the week (seemed easier to us than to hope for a space on the road each day). Overall, we had a great stay, and would definitely choose this accommodation if we came to Swanage again!! Hide

Very convenient location albeit partway up a steep hill. A characterful property with a nice welcome box of goodies. Outside space is very limited but that wasn't a problem as the Downs and the seafront are nearby.
