Based just off Swanage’s high street, this is the ideal holiday home for a coastal getaway. Swanage is a much-loved seaside town on Britain’s south coast. Its beach offers a long stretch of sand, but walkers can also head along the Jurassic coast which is equally spectacular. Swanage town centre itself has an array of independent shops, restaurants and coffee shops. The sandy beach is a favourite in the summer months, with pretty coloured beach huts and ice cream parlours. Why not hop aboard the Swanage Railway for 6 miles of scenic views or, in the summer months, head out from the pier on a coastal adventure on the paddle steamer. The iconic tourist attractions of Lulworth Cove and Corfe Castle are also both under 20 miles away and offer a fabulous day out.

Inside this attractive holiday home, which is set over three floors, every space, both inside and out is beautifully inviting. The cosy living room has a feature bay window in addition to a wood burner which makes for perfect autumn and winter evenings in and, with sofas that sit six people, it’s an exceptionally comfortable room. The separate dining room is also a spacious room with a large dining table to seat six, as well as a characterful feature fireplace and the kitchen is well equipped. Upstairs, on the first floor, are two bedrooms and the family bathroom. The master bedroom is lovely, with its bay window, feature fireplace and king-size bed. The second bedroom is a delightful bunk bedroom, perfect for children. The family bathroom on this level has both a bath and a shower cubicle as well as a WC. Up on the second floor, you’ll find the third and final bedroom with twin beds under the eaves. This bedroom benefits from wonderful views of Nine Barrow Down.

Outside, the property has a good-sized, enclosed garden – mainly laid with patio with ample outdoor seating to enjoy the warmer days. There’s also a trampoline for the youngsters.

This is a lovely property, which is in good condition throughout and had plenty of space for us and our two children. Just 10 minutes walk to the beach, or even quicker to the steam railway.
