This beautiful, light, airy first-floor apartment is ideal for couples or solo travellers looking for a peaceful seaside break and exploring the coast and countryside around Swanage and the Isle of Purbeck. Swanage town centre and beachfront are less than half a mile away, offering plenty of independent shops, eateries, and a swathe of golden sandy beach to walk. Head 3.5 miles north of Swanage to reach beautiful Studland Bay and explore the wonderful nature reserve.

A welcoming apartment with a seaside theme and hues and a comfortable open-plan living area is the perfect setting to unwind during your coastal stay. Snuggle on the sofa and catch a movie on the TV. The property boasts a large bay window, offering plenty of natural light and lovely views across Swanage Bay. For quieter moments, the reading room is ideal. A contemporary kitchen has all the necessary appliances, so you can quickly whip up a romantic dinner for two or a late brunch. When it is time to sleep, head to the double bedroom with an en-suite shower room, a TV, and sea views from the window. The apartment also has a bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC for additional convenience. Although there is no outside space, the beach is less than 350 metres away, and pretty Prince Albert Gardens, with an open-air amphitheatre, is less than half a mile away. There is private parking for one car (family saloon size).

For a relaxing day, take the steam railway ride through the scenic Purbeck countryside to ancient Corfe Castle, which is 5.5 miles away. Lulworth Cove, famous for its panoramic views, unique geology and crystal-clear waters, is another must-see, just 17 miles along the coast. Walkers can join the South West Coast Path from Swanage Beach and head to Peveril Point, less than a mile away, for breathtaking bay views. Chapman’s Pool, 6 miles away, is a popular hiking spot, with a steep descent to a secluded cove.

Really lovely comfortable flat. We very much enjoyed our week there. We also loved how it wasnt far from the centre of Swanage. We did lots of lovely walks. Highly recommend, for those who dont mind a hill.

Spotlessly clean apartment . Fantastic shower in en- suite. Beautiful view from windows in sunny living area . parking is very tight and would be a reason we wouldnt return as it was troublesome . Bed was on the small side by todays standards . double bed seems small if you are use to a kingsize or superking bed

Really nicely presented cottage. Parking space tight especially when other cars parked. We reversed out onto the road a couple of times as turning was impossible. It was easier to drive into the space than reversing due to lack of space to get out of the car.

Lovely appartmeny lovely view . Had everything we needed . The lift was a bonus as my husband has a painful hip so it made getting to our apartment so much easier . Great to have a parking space on site . Excellent place to have a holiday .

4 Penlu is a very comfortable flat. The view from the lounge across the bay is delightful. The flat is conveniently located just a few minutes walk, albeit up a hill, from the centre of town. Highly recommended.

We loved staying at Flat 4 Penlu, it was well appointed and really clean. The highlight is the view of the bay and cliffs, we enjoyed having breakfast with a view. The flat is a fantastic location, so close to town too. We cant wait to book our next stay here.

Great location with views of the sea and coast from the spacious living, dining kitchen area. The lift was very useful especially as the stairs were spiral! The parking for a small car was useful. Bedroom and ensuite a little cramped.

A pleasant flat with a stunning view, but only book it if you are happy to walk up an extremely steep hill and sleep in a very soft bed. Be aware the en-suite bathroom is awkward to access and there is very little space to hang clothes. The parking space will only just accommodate a family saloon.

Having stayed in the apartment a couple of years ago, my husband and I were hoping that it would be just as lovely as before. Thankfully the property was again spotlessly clean and the furnishings looked just as good as before. Given the fact that I was to be cooking main meals most days, I was appreciative of there being a good selection of utRead moreensils and pans. The knives were very sharp too. Although we never sat in the separate seating area, we found it very useful for storing our luggage so giving us more space in the bedroom. Of course, one of the main things that should attract anyone to the property is the view. It was wonderful being able to see the sea and the area closed to Old Harry rocks from the dining area - a much better view than you would get from most of the local eateries! The apartment would be in a great location for those holidaymakers who prefer to eat out though, as it was a short walk from the centre of town, where there was a good selection of restaurants, pubs and bars - the pier, beach and shops too. What's not to like about Flat 4 Penlu?! Hide

Flat provides excellent holiday accommodation and is good value for the money paid. The flat is situated up an slightly steep road which takes a ten minute steady stroll from the bottom of the hill (town), completely doable for folks like us in our seventies, a real bonus is the lift to all apartments. Lovely views over Swanage Bay.
