An appealing Swanage retreat, with spacious, light-filled accommodation, this colourful holiday home is perfect for a family or group of friends on a Dorset break. Sleeping five guests, and providing dog-friendly accommodation, the three-bedroom abode is 400 metres from the heart of the town, with its many shops and eateries. It is 0.5 miles from the promenade and the sandy beach, where you can while away the hours swimming in sea and hiring kayaks and pedaloes to take out on the water. Head the same distance to the station to catch a steam train out to Corfe Castle, where you can wander the castle ruins, potter in the shops and pause for something to eat in a pub or cafe.

Enter to find a spacious, split-level lounge/diner, where the lounge area is up one step and has a wood burner for chilly evenings and comfortable seating on which to watch the TV. There is a table in the dining area for holiday meals together and doors that can be opened up on to the garden whenever the weather is fine. The kitchen, with ample space for food storage and preparation, is beyond the dining area. All three bedrooms are on the first floor of the house, these include a king-size, with scenic views and an en-suite bathroom, as well as a double and a single.

The courtyard garden, with a raised area of decking accessed by steps, is the perfect place to unwind on summer evenings. There is space out here to store bikes and beach equipment.

Wonderful week in North Cliff View, very comfortable and superb location. Great walks from the doorstep and shops just 5 minutes away on foot. Would love to stay again.
