A fun, family-friendly seaside resort on the edge of the Isle of Purbeck, Swanage is home to an iconic Victorian pier and a sweeping bay where gently sloping, golden sands are lapped by clear water. There’s plenty to entertain all ages here, alongside a town centre that will satisfy every type of shopper and souvenir-hunter, while the surrounding countryside has lots to discover too – no visit would be complete without a trip through the countryside to Corfe Castle, 5.5 miles away. The natural beauty of Lulworth Cove, famous for its panoramic views, unique geology and crystal-clear waters, is 17 miles along the coast, while in the other direction Studland Bay (3.5 miles) is another much-loved beauty spot with, at its southern end, one of the most famous landmarks on the South Coast: the chalk stack known as Old Harry Rocks.
Located within a quiet residential building close to the town and beach, this first-floor apartment is reached via a lift or narrow spiral staircase from the ground floor entrance area. Once inside, you’ll find a stylish lounge/dining room with contemporary, comfortable seating and a bay window with views toward the sea. The kitchen has all you’d expect for a fuss-free stay, including a dishwasher and coffee maker for home-from-home convenience. Two bedrooms offer peace and versatility. In one, there’s a king-size bed and en-suite shower room, while the other has zip-and-link twin beds that could convert to another king-size bed if required – just let us know when you book! A tiled family bathroom completes the layout.
There’s no garden here but the beach is less than 350 metres away and the well-tended Prince Albert Gardens with their open-air amphitheatre are close by too.
