Dating back to the 1830s, this stylish Georgian property makes a lovely holiday retreat for four guests seeking a relaxing break in the idyllic Dorset coastal resort of Swanage. The apartment sits on the edge of the town, with a wide range of cafes, shops, pubs and restaurants within easy reach. Situated at the southern end of Swanage, the apartment is perfect for exploring The Downs, with Prince Albert Gardens, the Amphitheatre, Peveril Point and Monkey Beach all just a few metres away. Durlston Country Park is about a mile away, or you can take a steam train trip 6 miles west to the historic village of Corfe Castle. Dorset Adventure Park and The Blue Pool are within 11 miles.

A few steps lead up to the entrance to this bright and inviting ground-floor apartment. Inside you will find a spacious lounge with wooden flooring, a delightful window seat and an open fire, along with plenty of seating and a large window offering sea views. The dining area leads through to a beautiful kitchen with an impressive range oven and flagstone floors. There are two cosy and cheerful bedrooms: the king-size room has a lovely feature fireplace and triple sash window, and the twin room can be made up as a super-king-size on request at the time of booking. The apartment also features a relaxing shower room with a step leading up to the shower.

Outside, the front garden provides a lovely spot for a morning coffee and taking in the sea views. The secluded courtyard to the back catches the sun in the afternoon, and makes a charming space for dining alfresco.

Excellent location, close to the town, pier and parks. Definitely one to revisit. We love Dorset in Autumn and Winter, for such a break it is a great location with lots to do and places to dine. Dont miss Durleston Country Park.

We had a very enjoyable week at Conkers despite the weather being wet at the start of the holiday. The location was especially good for our dog with walks on The Downs starting from opposite the front door. The rear courtyard catches the afternoon sun and was a quiet, relaxing place for afternoon tea.

As a family of 4 we would stay again. Great location and nice layout of rooms. Only downside is WiFi needs to be improved.

This ground floor flat is ideally placed for the park and is near but not too near to pubs, cafes beaches and shops. It is dog friendly. Requires a little TLC to warrant price in my opinion.

Our stay at Conkers was delightful. It is a perfect location and a wonderful cottage for a week at the seaside. Shops, pubs and restaurants are all a short walk from the cottage and the seafront is easily accessible. The cottage is also close to a glorious walk along the cliffs through Durlston Park. Free parking on the street at the top of theRead more hill was easily available at the stray of May but quite a steep walk to get to. Hide

We were very happy with everything and would highly recommend the cottage. Location was excellent and the cottage was very homely and comfortable. All modern conns with everything you need. 9/10 just lost one mark for key box and door security.

This is lovely ground floor accommodation in a great location. Very close to the town centre but very quiet. The accommodation was very clean apart from the rug in the lounge which was covered in dog hair. The kitchen was large but had only the basics. This was fine for a weekend but we would have struggled if we'd stayed any longer. We loved the Read morearea especially studland beach. Hide

We went to this property in January when it was very cold outside, the heating system could not cope with the cold weather. The location is excellent and would likely return in the summer months when it is warmer!
