This historic cottage in Niton is perfect for families or friends who cherish nature and outdoor adventures. Start your day with a captivating stroll along the dramatic cliffs of the Undercliff, 1.5 miles, providing breathtaking coastal views and chances to spot local wildlife from your front door. History enthusiasts can visit St. Catherine's Lighthouse atop the cliffs, offering insight into the island's maritime heritage. For family fun, head to the nearby Blackgang Chine theme park or relax on the serene beaches of Ventnor and St. Lawrence, all within 5 miles. Just a short drive away (10 miles), you'll discover Compton Beach, known for its stunning views, fossil hunting, and excellent water sports opportunities. It is accessible via the scenic Military Road, which offers some of the island's most breathtaking coastal and countryside views. The road winds along the dramatic cliffs and offers panoramic vistas of the English Channel, making it a favourite route for travellers seeking natural beauty.

Step into a world of timeless charm as you enter this cosy cottage, a place filled with character that effortlessly transports you back in time. The heart of the home is the living/dining room, where exposed beams, a traditional brick floor, and a wood burner create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Here, you can relish evenings by the fire, watching your favourite shows on TV or immersing yourself in a good book. A few steps away, the well-equipped kitchen awaits, providing everything you need to whip up delicious meals, ensuring your stay is comfortable and convenient. Completing this floor is the downstairs bathroom, offering a place to unwind after a day of exploration. Ascending to the first floor, you'll find two individual bedrooms. The first features a cosy double bed, and it's in this room that the cottage's rich history truly comes to life, with a fascinating wig cupboard, ornate dark wooden wall panelling and feature fireplace. Original writing on the wall, dating back to 1756, adds to the cottage's historical charm, and a small section of glass showcases the scratched inscription of John Whitworth, a reminder of days long past. The second bedroom offers a raised single bed, suitable for a child. Cottage-style steep and narrow stairs lead to the second floor, where you'll discover a unique and characterful bedroom with three single beds. This space adds to the cottage's uniqueness and is illuminated by a Velux window adorned with charming sloping ceilings.

Stepping outside, a front patio welcomes you with a table and chairs, providing an ideal spot to enjoy the fresh air and perhaps a meal or tea.
