Close to both Colwell Bay and Totland Bay, this bright and relaxing property provides a tranquil retreat for six guests. The bungalow is set in a charming spot just a mile from the centre of Freshwater, one of the Isle of Wight’s loveliest coastal villages. Perfect for families and friends, this light and welcoming holiday home makes a fabulous base for discovering the western parts of the island.

Entering this airy holiday cottage, the spacious lounge/diner makes a wonderful space in which to relax at the end of a memorable day. With plenty of comfortable seating and a TV, the lounge is a lovely space in which to unwind and chat into the night. You can enjoy a favourite family meal around the dining table, and the fully equipped kitchen is a pleasure to cook in. The property also has a pretty conservatory, perfect for a morning coffee or catching up with a book in peace. Exploring further, the bungalow features a stylish shower room and three light and soothing bedrooms: one double with en-suite, one super king-size zip and link (can be made into a twin upon request, must be stated at the time of booking) and a twin room. Stepping outside from the conservatory, the charming enclosed garden features a lawn and a decked area with outdoor furniture, perfect for enjoying al fresco drinks or a meal on a lovely summer afternoon.

The beautiful beaches at Colwell Bay and Totland Bay are less than a mile away, or you can head south to explore the beautiful Freshwater Bay (2.5 miles). The village of Freshwater (1 mile) has some great independent shops, pubs and restaurants. Local attractions include Tapnell Farm Park (4 miles), The Needles and Tennyson Down (both 2.5 miles). Along the northern coast, you can visit the picturesque village of Yarmouth (2.5 miles), and head through the beautiful Hamstead Heritage Coast to the bustling port of Cowes (15 miles).

We all really liked this bungalow and loved the close proximity to the beach. Nice quiet road, was narrow but never a problem. Drive was good and can take 4 cars. Very clean throughout and nicely presented

Absolutely fantastic property in the perfect location for us. Had everything you can possible need for your stay. It was a perfect stay and brilliant accessibility for people with mobility issues. Tanglewood was fully equipped and comfortable, it was a home away from home and will definitely be back to stay.

A wonderfully located, comfy and spacious holiday home. Our stay was much longer than most due to a house purchase. So it was more than a holiday let. From the minute we walked in the door it felt like home. Extremely well equipped. Cottage is in a great location, a couple of minutes walk from the beach. Well equipped and near to restaurants and shops. Cottage needs some TLC as it is looking tired in places. More attention needed on cleanliness in between booking as there were areas that weren't clean on arrival

Beautifully presented property in a very quite residential location. As you come out of the bungalow, if you turn left and follow the path past the other properties there is a sign for the Coastal Path. This will take you directly to the beach. Literally 2 mis walk. The way the property is laid out it would be ideal for differnet generations to staRead morey at the same time. A very comfortable house, felt homely and contains all you need. Loved the location, great for Yarmouth ferry. Very easy with dogs, using conservatory and kitchen to enter and leave garden aswell as a large entrance hall. Parking good and in a very nice road. Whilst this bungalow has many attractive features i.e. clean, nicely laid out, good size lounge/dining area, nice conservatory/garden, as a full time wheelchair user the wet room was inaccessible, unless you can walk to the shower. This room is particularly narrow and the toilet sticks out blocking the way. On the website it is classified as 'increRead moreased accessibility' which I think is misleading. It would be advantageous if the wet room measurements were included especially the toilet to wall. Hide
