You can enjoy a romantic meal in the delightful dining area, and the kitchen is fully equipped so you can prepare all your favourite meals. The king-size bedroom features a TV and views over the pond. The lodge also has a stylish shower room. Outside, the decked balcony has plenty of outdoor furniture and overlooks the Alverstone ponds, providing a fabulous spot for al fresco drinks or for spotting the local birds and wildlife including ducks, herons and carp. There’s on-site allocated parking for one car, and private fishing is available for a fee payable to the owner.
Sandown is a thriving seaside resort with some great pubs and restaurants, and attractions including Dinosaur Isle, Sandham Gardens and Wildheart Animal Sanctuary. Local attractions include Bembridge Fort and Downs, Amazon World Zoo, Nunwell House and Godshill Model Village (all within 5 miles). The southern coast is also home to the thriving resorts of Shanklin (4 miles) and Ventnor (6.5 miles), along with landmarks including Blackgang Chine, St Catherine’s Lighthouse (both 10.5 miles) and the Devil’s Chimney (6.5 miles).
