We had a lovely stay in this wonderful house. The house is extremely large and very comfortably furnished (with high quality bedding, towels etc.), and many extra finishing touches to make the stay more enjoyable. We had a great time using the games room but were just as happy lounging around in the very relaxing front room. The house is very conveRead moreniently located, with a lovely 10-15 minute walk along the cliff path to the beach, and a similar walk to the old town, town centre, the local supermarkets and the train station. We can highly recommend "The Hideaway" - a lovely, friendly restaurant at the end of the road, which looks out over the cliffs. The bushes in the front garden are quite tall, but have been cut back away from the windows so they didn't affect the light in the front room, and we found they offered good privacy and some very welcome shade during the hot weather. There were a couple of ongoing maintenance issues that we have reported, but otherwise, we loved our stay in this house, would highly recommend it, and hope to return in the future. Hide

A very warm and comfortable house. Very spacious with a good supply of equipment and facilities. Great for children , my grandchildren had a great time with snooker, table tennis and many games to occupy them. It was very cold when we stayed so the gas fire was very appreciated. Garden looked good but we didn't use it. Shanklin esplanade only a shoRead morert walk away. We walked along the costal walk to Shanklin and caught the bus back. Street parking was fine. Hide

We enjoyed our holiday in Shanklin, great location near the beach, with a nice walk down to The Shanklin Esplanade. Also great having The Hideaway close by. Well equipped kitchen. Very well built Edwardian house, minimal creaking floorboards for instance. Good hive heating system in place Comfortable beds

I wouldnt recommend this property. Front and back gardens are over run with trees/bushes/shrubs, its a mozzies paradise. Waste bin overflowing when we got there, wasnt emptied for 4 days. Path up to bins and cycle shed over run with bushes and weeds. Cant see out of lounge windows. House is dull. No rail to get up steps to back garden. Fourth bedroRead moreom is so small, it shouldnt be classed as a bedroom, no where to hang clothes. I could go on! Hide

Spacious house in a very good location. Just a few minutes from the cliff walk and 10 minute walk down to the beach. The house was spotless and well equipped. The games room has a pool table which converts to a table tennis table and was great fun. The garden is small and quite shaded with a small seating area.
