Set in the centre of the stunning Purbeck region, this stylish, bright and attractive cottage offers comfortable accommodation for a family or a couple seeking a quiet holiday home surrounded by glorious heathland. The cottage makes an excellent base for nature lovers, with opportunities to see deer and a wide variety of birds at RSPB Stoborough Heath which is just a few metres from the door. This spacious and inviting getaway also features a games cabin where you can relax or play pool, chess and table football.

On entering this delightful property, you will find the bright, fresh and charming open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The light and restful lounge is an ideal space for relaxation, with plenty of comfortable seating, a Smart TV, DVD player and Bluetooth speaker so you can unwind at the end of the day. The pretty dining area is ideal for sharing a family meal which you can prepare in the stylishly designed kitchen. There are also two cosy bedrooms: a king-size room on the first floor, and a super king-size room on the second floor with lovely country views and reduced head height. Stepping outside, there’s a gated and paved front garden with planted borders, and a charming back garden with a large lawn, patio, BBQ and garden furniture so you can enjoy al fresco meals.

Lovely cottage, think its the best weve ever stayed at. Location wise it cant be bettered. Our spaniel loved the garden. Will definitely be booking again next year.

We thought this cottage was delightful. It was comfortable, clean and well equipped. Also very dog friendly with a great sized lawned garden. In a quiet location (a tiny bit of traffic passing by occasionally) looking out onto open heath front and back. In a great location for exploring the Isle of Purbeck. Beautiful house in a perfect location. We were so comfortable at Nightjar Cottage - everything was pristine when we arrived and we felt really welcome. Fabulous! We really loved our week at Nightjar. The cottage was immaculate and the fixtures and fittings top notch. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. I beautifully presented and maintained property with all the amenities and comfort of home. The open plan living, dining and kitchen made for a very social space with a large garden for the dog to run around plus a garden room for games!

Beautiful and clean, very homely and comfortable. Everything you need , even the welcome basket was a lovely touch. The dog absolutely loved the garden, and the children loved the games room, which they spent hours in. I would definitely recommend and go back.

We absolutely loved our stay at Nightjar Cottage. The cottage has everything you could need and was spotlessly clean. Our dog loved the large enclosed garden and the surrounding heath. The location was a fantastic base to explore Dorset. We hope to return next year!

Fantastic cottage. This is the second time we have stayed here. Spotlessly clean, well equipped, warm and comfortable. Great walking from the door. Coast a short drive away. Communication from the owners excellent. We could not fault this place and had a lovely weekend away. Just went far too quickly.

We could not fault the accommodation. The cottage was spotless. Our teenagers loved the games room. Extra luxury touches were really lovely. Owners went above and beyond. We regularly stay at holiday rentals and Nightjar is definitely one of the best. Would thoroughly recommend staying here.

A beautiful cottage - modern, clean and well presented. Equipped with all the items you would wish for making for a very comfortable stay. A large spacious and enclosed rear garden with easy access to walks. Would recommend without hesitation.
