Offering cosy accommodation for six guests, this delightful retreat has been beautifully furnished and tastefully decorated, with a charming nautical theme throughout. A fantastic holiday base for exploring the Jurassic Coast and the Purbeck Hills, this light and stylish semi-detached property is situated in a peaceful cul-de-sac and was imaginatively refurbished in 2018.

The stylish lounge/diner features original folding pine doors which you can use to divide the lounge and dining room for a cosier effect. With Smart TV, comfortable seating, large bay window and a striking feature fireplace, the lounge is a wonderful space for relaxation at the end of the day. You can dine in style in the attractive dining room, and the well-equipped kitchen provides an additional breakfast area. Three charming bedrooms – all with plenty of storage space – are on the first floor. The beautiful king-size bedroom has an original feature fireplace, bay window and en-suite shower room. A feature fireplace can also be found in the delightful double bedroom, and the pretty single bedroom has an additional pull-out single bed (available on request). There's also a family bathroom with a free-standing roll-top bath and shower, and a separate shower room. The enclosed south-facing walled courtyard-style garden provides comfortable garden furniture and a BBQ, ideal for dining outdoors.

The bustling seaside town of Swanage has plenty of great places to eat and drink, as well as a stunning bay with a long sandy beach, a Victorian-era pier, the Prince Albert Gardens and a traditional promenade with a range of amusements. A steam railway runs to Corfe Castle (5 miles), with other local attractions including The Blue Pool (8 miles), Hartland Moor (7.5 miles) and Ballard Down (2 miles).

Well positioned house 7 min walk to beach, clean well decorated, plenty of space and well heated. Nice paved enclosed garden. Kitchen well stocked with equipment great place to stay. Location excellent with easy access to beach and town. We found parking on arrival to be very difficult and, although slightly better Monday to Friday, always a challenge. Having said that long term car parking was available 5-10 mins walk away. The house itself was spacious. Kitchen and bathrooms were looking a bit tired. Dishwasher would not remoRead moreve all dirt. Lovely cottage and very comfortable. Easy walk into town avoiding the high street as the path up from the cottage is very steep. Dog walking just a short walk away across the railway line. The town is very dog friendly. On street parking was not a problem but could be in high season.

It is the second year we have stayed at Samphire and once more thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is a well equipped and comfortable house which is minutes walk from the shops and seafront. Everything about the property is designed to make your holiday homely and relaxing. It is bright and airy inside and the patio out back catches the sun all day. Lovely victorian villa, well presented, lots of character in a good location for walks to beachfront and over Durlston Nature Reserve. A good choice of decent pubs offering good food just a short walk away. Parking on street immediately outside the house was always available.

We had the most wonderful stay. The cottage was presented to a very high standard and was extremely well equipped, a home from home. The ground floor is spacious, we were a group of three adults and three children and were never crowded. The bedrooms were perfect. Plenty of storage space and wonderful mattresses. A great location to walk into swanage 10-15 mins for the beach, arcades, coffee shops and the Ship Inn is lovely for an evening meal. we enjoyed going to corfe castle (15 minutes away) and the Greyhound pub for one of our evening meals was lovely. the house was warm, comfortable and inviting, the size was great for us a family of 6 and dog. there cRead moreould have been more kitchen utensils and crockery and some finer attention to cleaniness detail. but a overall lovely house and a great location. We had an enjoyable stay at Samphire. We liked the period features of the property and found the location excellent. Parking was an issue for us when we used our car. Its just something to consider if you want to use your car. We found the property a little basically equipped in the kitchen and everything was a little tired including glasses, crockRead moreery and utensils. This is a very nice property clean comfortable and nicely decorated. We had a nice week there and would thoroughly recommend it to anybody looking for a holiday let in Swanage. The house is nicely furnished and well equipped.

We had a wonderful week at Samphire. Its just a short, easy walk to the beach which was especially appreciated on the way home after a day at the beach when everyone was exhausted! There was plenty of room for the six of us in various sleeping combinations and the downstairs was big enough for us not to feel on top of each other. A lovely characterful property, handy for the centre of Swanage. We enjoyed the space but did find the parking an issue - so basically left the car all week after we got a spot near to the house. With fun bus trips around Poole Harbour and train to Corfe, shops within walking distance (the Salt Pig was such a treat for local fish and meat) this wasRead moren't a big hardship though! This is a superb cottage. It is beautifully decorated, with plenty of space for a family of 4. It has everything you need including guest Netflix which was great. We found parking outside the house no problem. Its a 10 min walk into the heart of swanage.
