Patio doors open from here on to a pretty terrace with a table and chairs so that meals can be enjoyed in the sunshine whilst enjoying the views. There is also an additional seating area to the rear of the cottage which can be found down a few steps.

There is a separate double bedroom with a super king-size bed. This room is well equipped with fitted wardrobes and a lovely en-suite shower room with a large walk in shower, basin and WC. Heating and electricity are provided without extra charge. Wifi internet is available. A freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer are also available for visitors use in an easily accessible out-building.

A variety of birds, foxes, badgers, rabbits and hares are frequent visitors to the garden. In addition to the pretty terrace there is an area of garden where visitors can relax, and also a parking space immediately beside the cottage. There are fishing lakes in the village of Whitwell and golf courses in Ventnor and Sandown. Nearby places to visit include Ventnor Botanical Garden, Carisbrooke Castle, The Garlic Farm, St Catherine's lighthouse, Osborne House and a variety of stunning coves on the south and west coast of the island. The cottage is wonderful and has everything you need. Shirley is very welcoming and kindly told us about the blind we could open as it was very hot. The rabbits, pheasants, red squirrels and barn owl kept is amused. Absolutely wonderful holiday

A lovely cottage surrounded by fields. Very peaceful, but also close to local pubs and a supermarket which can be reached easily by car. Would definitely stay here again.
