It is a pleasant ten minute stroll to Appuldurcombe House or to the centre of Godshill with its picturesque thatched cottages, church, tea shops, and public houses and pub/restaurant for meals or drinks. The sandy beaches of Shanklin, Sandown and Ventnor are within a 15 minute drive and Godshill makes for a wonderful central base to explore all that the Isle of Wight has to offer. If golf is more your cup of tea, Ventnor Golf Course is worth a visit with its panoramic views over the countryside and English Channel.
Godshill Park House Wing provides stylish self-contained accommodations of a high standard which is all on one level once inside. There are one and a half steps which lead into a charming sitting room with deep carpets, cushions and sofas, plus a flat screen television with Freeview and DVD player; a dining area in an impressive bay window overlooking the garden; a galley style fitted kitchen with oak worktops, blue and white tiles, a stainless steel sink, electric cooker and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, Dualit toaster, Nespresso coffee machine and a washer dryer; a well equipped bathroom with a bath, overhead shower, basin and WC; a spacious bedroom with a king-size bed, Egyptian cotton sheets, beautiful curtains and a wardrobe. The Wing has a private secluded terrace with garden furniture, and visitors are also welcome to use the large lawns at the front of the house. A car can be parked close to the wing or in the small garage. The garage can alternatively be used for the storage of bicycles, small dinghies and beach equipment. There is a regular bus service to Shanklin/Newport with interconnections to most parts of the Isle of Wight within a five minute walk.
