Bayside is a charming detached bungalow within a three minute walk of the sea at Colwell Bay on the west side of the Isle of Wight. This is a brilliant walking area with the coastal path offering easy access via Totland Bay and Alum Bay to The Needles on the western tip of the Isle of Wight, and the beautiful Tennyson Down which drops down into Freshwater Bay. Colwell Bay is a quiet coastal spot with a sandy beach at low tide where visitors can swim and paddle. There is an attractive cafe, bar and restaurant with views across the bay, plus a small shop. The promenade can be followed around to Totland Bay. Nearby is the attractive harbour and sailing centre of Yarmouth with its various restaurants, cafes and small shops. Boat trips and fishing can also be enjoyed here. The pretty town of Freshwater with its shops, fresh fish, public houses, sports centre with swimming pool and a golf club is also within a few minutes drive.
Bayside has been furnished and equipped to a high standard and offers attractive, comfortable accommodation for four people. There is a double bedroom with a king-size bed, dressing area and en-suite shower room with built in shower basin and WC; a twin bedroom with a wardrobe and chest of drawers, plus easy access across the hall to a tiled bathroom with a bath, overhead shower, basin and WC. There is also an additional cloakroom with WC and basin. Televisions with Freeview and DVD players are provided in both bedrooms.
Meals can be prepared and cooked in the well-equipped fitted kitchen with a double oven and grill, ceramic hob, microwave, dishwasher, Nespresso pod coffee machine, fridge freezer and washing machine. There is also a separate small utility area with a tumble dryer and space for boots. When it's time to relax, there is a sitting room with a leather sofa and arm chairs, a flame effect fire, Smart high definition television with Freeview/Blu-ray DVD player and patio doors opening into a conservatory style dining room with an oak dining table and chairs. The dining room is heated and ceiling/window blinds prevent this room from becoming too hot in summer. French doors open from here into the garden. The accommodation is all on one level apart from one step into the conservatory. Central heating electricity and WiFi are without extra charge. Children 12+ welcome.
Bayside has a lovely fenced and gated garden with a variety of shrubs and flowers, plus outside furniture so that meals can be enjoyed in the sunshine. There is also a summer house for visitors to enjoy. Bird feeders and a bird bath encourage a good selection of garden birds.(Please be aware that the main garden is accessed by five steps with a rail and there is an unfenced drop of 29 inches to the side of the steps). A gated and covered area is available for the storage of bikes or canoes. Parking is available for two or three cars in the gravel drive at the front of the property. A regular bus service is within a few minutes walk.
