This idyllic, one bedroom, self catering wing located in an area of 'Outstanding Natural Beauty' near Godshill Village on the East of the Isle of Wight. The wing is part of the beautiful Godshill Park House which stands in four acres of grounds and surrounded by farmland. There are wonderful walking a cycling opportunities around the cottage and it is a pleasant walk to Godshill where there are pubs and restaurants.

This lovely wing of Fowlsdown Farmhouse is completely self contained and offers very attractive accommodation of a high standard. The accommodation is largely open plan with an attractive sitting room area with a sofa, arm chair, flat screen television with freeview; a lovely dining area beside a window; a fitted kitchen with a tiled floor, an electric cooker and hob, microwave, refrigerator and small freezer (24 hour washing service available); a charming bedroom with a king size bed and fitted wardrobe with curtains to separate it from the living area; a well equipped tiled bathroom with a bath, over head shower, basin and WC. At the rear of the cottage is a small sunny fenced courtyard with garden furniture so that meals can be enjoyed outside. The property is within a 5 minute drive of the coastal resort of Shanklin with its lovely sandy beach. The picturesque village of Godshill is also nearby - with its thatched cottages, lovely church, tea shops, public houses and restaurant. This is also a wonderful walking and cycling area. Ferries can be booked for you at greatly discounted prices.
This pretty cottage is attractively situated within a pleasant ten minute walk of the beach of Ventnor or the quiet cove of Steephill on the south coast of the Island. Ventnor Park is at the rear of the cottage and paths lead through these gardens to the Esplanade. These gardens also adjoin the Botanical Garden of Ventnor which is renowned for its rare plants and the mild climate. The Clock House is one of a small group of cottages which have been converted from the original stables of Steephill Castle.
The Clock House is a very spacious one bedroom cottage which has been furnished and equipped with great care. It is centrally heated and the accommodation is all on the ground floor. There is an exceptionally large double bedroom with attractive beamed ceiling, television/DVD/Freeview linked via the TV in the sitting room. A door leads from the bedroom into a Victorian conservatory with a tiled floor and French doors lead from here into the garden. There is a spacious bathroom with a wonderful Victorian bath with ball and claw feet, a built in shower, sink and W.C plus a dressing room area with wardrobes.
The cottage has an open plan kitchen and dining area with a pretty bay window with leaded lights and comfortable seating. The kitchen has a lovely large pine dresser and is equipped with a gas cooker, microwave, refrigerator with freezer section and washing machine. There is a pretty sitting room and visitors can relax on sofas in front of an open fire during colder weather. This room has a flat screen television. BT Infinity Wifi connection at no extra charge.
French doors open into the walled garden at the rear of the cottage. This south facing walled garden has a small pond and garden furniture is provided. Folding bed for a child and High chair available. Heating/electricity provided free of charge. There is a private gated courtyard at the front of the cottages and two cars can be parked beside The Clock House. Shops, restaurants and a public house within 10 minutes walk. Public transport - 3 minutes walk.
The Clock House has ground floor accommodation and is a non smoking cottage. WiFi Internet is provided free of charge at The Clock House. The Clock House is available for weekly self catering holiday bookings from Saturday to Saturday. The normal arrival time at this holiday cottage is 14:30 and the normal departure time is 10:00. Short break weekend and midweek self catering holidays are available from 28th October 2017 to 17th December 2017, 6th January 2018 to 8th February 2018, 17th February 2018 to 22nd March 2018 and 27th October 2018 to 20th December 2018.

The South of the Isle of Wight is a wonderful mix of pretty beaches and dramatic coastal landscape. The sand and shingle beach at Ventnor is one of the more popular holiday locations but hidden gems such as Bonchurch and Steephill Cove are really worth a visit too.
The coastal path around the South Coast of the Isle of Wight is a particularly beautiful stretch to explore and passes a number of attractive sites which include Steephill Cove, Orchard Bay and St Catherine's Light House at Niton Undercliff. Some of this area has been prone to erosion so you must stick to the footpath and take heed of diversions.
