This charming thatched cottage dates back more than two hundred years and has been owned by the same family for generations. It is a character cottage, which has retained many of its original features. It occupies an attractive central position in the small coastal resort of St Helens overlooking the village green where cricket is played.

Very attractively situated, beside the water, with beautiful open views to the sea across Bembridge Harbour. It is one of a small number of properties on a causeway, between the harbour and the water meadows, linking the seaside villages of St Helens and Bembridge. The centre of St. Helens, with its attractive village green, public house, shop and restaurants, is within a 5 minute walk.

A pleasant ten-minute stroll through the beech copse and across the fields leads to the centre of Godshill. This village is renowned for its church and pretty thatched cottages.

This charming cottage is nestled in the beautiful East Isle of Wight countryside, adjoining National Trust woodland, renowned for its carpets of bluebells and abundance of red squirrels. The cottage commands wonderful views towards the sea and Culver Cliffs as well as of the Ventnor Down. Visitors have the freedom to enjoy over three acres of garden and private woodland. The sandy beach of Sandown is within a seven-minute drive.

Attractively situated within 5 minutes walk of the beach in the small seaside town of Shanklin. It enjoys sea views from several of the rooms and garden. Shanklin is on the east side of the Isle of Wight and nestles beside a beautiful, large sandy bay.

This lovely stone cottage nestles in beautiful countryside on an attractive farm on the East side of the Island. There are wonderful open views from the cottage and garden across fields towards the downs. The Old Brew House is at the end of a country lane with no passing traffic. This is a wonderful walking area with footpaths leading along the course of the River Yar and to the nearby picturesque village of Godshill. There is direct access across the fields to the cycle track which links Sandown to Newport and Cowes. The sandy beaches of Sandown, Shanklin and Ventnor are only a 15 minute drive away.

This wonderful property is situated on a lovely farm in beautiful countryside. It has recently been converted from a large old granary, the foundations of which date back to the 1700s. A fire in 1889 resulted in much of it being rebuilt. Redway Manor Granary has been renovated with the greatest care and wherever possible original features have been retained. There are beautiful views across the fields and nearby lakes to the downs. The sandy beaches of Sandown and Shanklin are within a 15 minute drive.

This lovely 17th century cottage is built of Island chalk and brick and enjoys beautiful views across nearby lakes and open countryside to Ventnor Downs. It is situated on an attractive farm at Merstone. The picturesque village of Godshill is nearby and the sandy beaches of Sandown and Shanklin are within a 15 minute drive. This is a wonderful walking area. Footpaths can be followed from close to the cottage along the course of the river Yar towards Bembridge and Niton and into the village of Godshill.
This delightful cottage is very attractively situated in a peaceful rural hamlet in beautiful countryside. The cottage is in a good walking area with nearby footpaths leading to woodland and to the downs above Ventnor. The cottage is only 1.5 miles from the lovely sandy beach of Shanklin, a small coastal town with a variety of restaurants and entertainments. The neighbouring seaside towns of Sandown and Ventnor are within an easy 10 minute drive.
Apse Manor Forge Cottage is one of two cottages which surround a beautiful courtyard with a lily pond to one side. The cottages have been rebuilt and renovated with great care, to the highest standards. Apse Manor Forge Cottage provides charming and comfortable accommodation which is double glazed and centrally heated. The front door opens into a delightfully light and spacious open plan sitting room with beams, a corner leather sofa, Freesat and DVD player. There is a pleasant dining area where meals can be enjoyed. The kitchen has been cleverly hidden behind doors which open back to reveal a fitted kitchen with a stainless steel sink, refrigerator; gas hob and a 'combi' microwave oven with a grill. (A conventional oven is not provided). A washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer are available in an adjoining external utility room. There is a newly equipped shower room with a built in shower, W.C. and basin. The cottage has two pretty bedrooms - one twin room and a spacious double bedroom with a door which opens into a small walled patio. A travel cot/high chair can be provided. Heating and electricity at no extra charge. Wifi internet available
The walled garden at the rear of the cottage faces south west and enjoys sunshine for much of the day. Garden furniture, an umbrella and a barbecue are provided. Visitors can also follow the path at the side of the cottage which leads up to extensive gardens with large areas of lawns and shrubs where visitors can stroll, games such as cricket can be played and there is a boule pitch. These gardens extend to 5 acres and are also used by the cottage owners.
Two cars can be parked at the front of the cottage. Special arrangements can also be made to use one of the garages adjoining the cottage and locked space is available for visitors wishing to bring bikes. The pond at the side of the courtyard is unfenced and children therefore need to be very closely supervised. Travel cot/high chair can be provided. Post office, shop and telephone 1 mile. Regular bus service ½ mile. It may be possible to arrange guided coastal and downland walks directly with the cottage owner during the period of your stay.
Apse Manor Forge Cottage has ground floor accommodation and is a non smoking cottage. WiFi Internet is provided at Apse Manor Forge Cottage. Apse Manor Forge Cottage is available for weekly self catering holiday bookings from Saturday to Saturday. The normal arrival time at this holiday cottage is 14:30 and the normal departure time is 10:00. Short break weekend and midweek self catering holidays are available from 22nd February 2014 to 27th March 2014 and 1st November 2014 to 18th December 2014.

Shanklin is most famous for the long beach of golden sand and historic village centre. This idyllic self catering holiday location is on the East of the Isle of Wight and has excellent access to the other beaches on the East coast. There are a number of shops and restaurants in Shanklin village or down on the seafront.
Shanklin has a number of worthy attractions including Shanklin Old Town with pretty thatched buildings and number of traditional small shops selling local produce and traditional sweets. A pleasent area of gardens is also found nearby and these can be enjoyed on the way down to the sea.

Apse Manor Forge Cottage is a holiday cottage situated in a peaceful rural hamlet in the countryside. The Cottage is all on one level but has a step leading into the lounge from the courtyard. It therefore has toilet facilities and a shower on that level.
