The sandy beaches of Sandown and Shanklin are within a 10 minute drive as is the market town of Newport with its delightful castle of Carisbrooke.

Situated on a delightful farm in one of the loveliest parts of the Isle of Wight lying at the foot of Appuldurcombe Down and above the picturesque village of Godshill in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. A pleasant ten-minute stroll through the beech copse and across the fields leads to the centre of Godshill. This village is renowned for its church and pretty thatched cottages.

Mead Cottage is attractively situated on a 12 acre farm on the edge of the small rural hamlet of Alverstone in “An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty”. This is a wonderful position for outdoor pursuits, walking, cycling, fishing and golf. In the village there are lovely water meadows and fishing ponds with hides for bird and red squirrel watching. There are many footpaths leading up on to the downs and towards the coast.

Two Mead Cottage is one of a pair of cottages which stand in the attractive rural hamlet of Alverstone and is less than a 5 minute drive from the lovely sandy beaches of Sandown on the east coast of the Island. The cottage is located on a small 12 acre farm which is home to horses, cows and a few free range chickens. The farm is in “An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty” and has a charming large pond which attracts ducks, moorhens and the occassional heron.

This lovely character cottage, situated on a small 40-acre farm at Blackwater, enjoys a central position on the Island. It provides an ideal base in both winter and summer for touring. It is within a two minute ride of a network of cycle paths offering easy access to Sandown, Cowes and a variety of small villages such as Godshill and Newchurch. Nearby is Newport, the main market town on the Island with its medieval castle and shopping centre. The seaside towns of Sandown, Shanklin and Ventnor are only a 10 - 15 minute drive away.

Built of Island Stone and the building dates back to 1695. It is one of a pair of cottages divided by an impressive central arch leading to an inner courtyard with pretty gardens and four additional cottages. The cottage is very pleasantly situated in a quiet hamlet in attractive countryside.

The cottage occupies a delightful position on a lovely 12-acre farm, where horses are kept. The farm is surrounded by beautiful open countryside. It is a delightful walking area and visitors can follow footpaths over the Downs from close to the cottage. Great location for exploring the East of the Isle of Wight and only a short drive from Seaview or Shanklin. A nearby public house serves excellent food.
This delightful cottage is very attractively situated in a peaceful rural hamlet in beautiful countryside. The cottage is in a good walking area with nearby footpaths leading to woodland and to the downs above Ventnor. The cottage is only 1.5 miles from the lovely sandy beach of Shanklin, a small coastal town with a variety of restaurants and entertainments. The neighbouring seaside towns of Sandown and Ventnor are within an easy 10 minute drive.
Apse Manor Forge Cottage is one of two cottages which surround a beautiful courtyard with a lily pond to one side. The cottages have been rebuilt and renovated with great care, to the highest standards. Apse Manor Forge Cottage provides charming and comfortable accommodation which is double glazed and centrally heated. The front door opens into a delightfully light and spacious open plan sitting room with beams, a corner leather sofa, Freesat and DVD player. There is a pleasant dining area where meals can be enjoyed. The kitchen has been cleverly hidden behind doors which open back to reveal a fitted kitchen with a stainless steel sink, refrigerator; gas hob and a 'combi' microwave oven with a grill. (A conventional oven is not provided). A washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer are available in an adjoining external utility room. There is a newly equipped shower room with a built in shower, W.C. and basin. The cottage has two pretty bedrooms - one twin room and a spacious double bedroom with a door which opens into a small walled patio. A travel cot/high chair can be provided. Heating and electricity at no extra charge. Wifi internet available
The walled garden at the rear of the cottage faces south west and enjoys sunshine for much of the day. Garden furniture, an umbrella and a barbecue are provided. Visitors can also follow the path at the side of the cottage which leads up to extensive gardens with large areas of lawns and shrubs where visitors can stroll, games such as cricket can be played and there is a boule pitch. These gardens extend to 5 acres and are also used by the cottage owners.
Two cars can be parked at the front of the cottage. Special arrangements can also be made to use one of the garages adjoining the cottage and locked space is available for visitors wishing to bring bikes. The pond at the side of the courtyard is unfenced and children therefore need to be very closely supervised. Travel cot/high chair can be provided. Post office, shop and telephone 1 mile. Regular bus service ½ mile. It may be possible to arrange guided coastal and downland walks directly with the cottage owner during the period of your stay.
Apse Manor Forge Cottage has ground floor accommodation and is a non smoking cottage. WiFi Internet is provided at Apse Manor Forge Cottage. Apse Manor Forge Cottage is available for weekly self catering holiday bookings from Saturday to Saturday. The normal arrival time at this holiday cottage is 14:30 and the normal departure time is 10:00. Short break weekend and midweek self catering holidays are available from and 1st November 2014 to 18th December 2014.

Shanklin is most famous for the long beach of golden sand and historic village centre. This idyllic self catering holiday location is on the East of the Isle of Wight and has excellent access to the other beaches on the East coast. There are a number of shops and restaurants in Shanklin village or down on the seafront.
Shanklin has a number of worthy attractions including Shanklin Old Town with pretty thatched buildings and number of traditional small shops selling local produce and traditional sweets. A pleasent area of gardens is also found nearby and these can be enjoyed on the way down to the sea.

Apse Manor Forge Cottage is a holiday cottage situated in a peaceful rural hamlet in the countryside. The Cottage is all on one level but has a step leading into the lounge from the courtyard. It therefore has toilet facilities and a shower on that level.
