Self-catering holiday accommodation in Langton Matravers
The village of Langton Matravers is situated on the Purbeck Hills above the seaside town of Swanage. Full of traditional charm, it has a real sense of community and is a wonderful place to visit if you like to get involved in local life. With a village shop, post office and two pubs, it maintains many important village features, and where else to find out about what is going on locally? You'll also find other quaint villages, such as Kingston, Acton and Worth Matravers, nearby.
At the heart of the village stands a beautiful stone-built church and the surrounding streets are wonderful examples of Purbeck stone-built architecture. One of the most popular areas around Langton are the rocky shelves of Dancing Ledge. A short walk from the village, this rock formation leading down to the sea is one of the main features of the Jurassic Coast.
Popular with those walking the coastal path, a surprise awaits you at the lowest ledge – a natural swimming pool which is refreshed with new water at every tide. Definitely not to be missed!
