Dancing Ledge holiday cottages available for self catering holidays on Purbeck in Coastal Dorset sleeping 2 to 9 people in 1 to 4 bedrooms . Dancing Ledge is a beautiful bay along the Jurassic coast between Swanage and Worth Matravers. The bay consists of a number of rock shelves which run down to the sea.
On the lowest rock shelf level it is possible to swim in a small swimming pool blasted from the rock of in the sea it self.
Dancing Ledge makes for an ideal picnic stop on the walk between Swanage and Winspit or Kimmeridge. The south facing bay with high surrounding cliffs makes it a natural sun trap and it is tempting to stay all day.
Getting to Dancing Ledge: If you are not taking the coastal path then the nearest village is Langton Matravers where there is a car park and track to the bay. The car park is at the end of Dumford Drove in Langton which is the first left going up the hill from the post office. From the car park head along the track towards the sea and keep going through a small farm, across the fields and down the hill to Dancing Ledge. You will need to take everything with you as there are no shops or facilities.
