There is a new photo of Apse Manor Forge showing the front courtyard, the hanging baskets and the fish pond. Apse Manor Forge also has a beautiful garden to the rear of the cottage with lawns and beds of lavender but this front courtyard is the view we see when we first arrive at the cottage as part of a holiday on the Isle of Wight.
The grounds and gardens of Apse Manor Forge Cottage are lovingly tended to and are a beautiful place to relax as part of a self catering holiday on the East of the Isle of Wight. Although the cottage is within a short walk or cycle ride of the beach at Shanklin, this rural location is peaceful and calming and seems miles away from the bustle of normal life.

These wonderful views of the Isle of Wight were taken while on holiday on the Isle of Wight and feature Steephill Cove and locations along the South East coast of the Island. We would like to thank Sue for letting us share her photos with you.
Sam has sent us some wonderful photographs of their holiday on the Isle of Wight and the wildlife they spotted. The beach shots were photographed at Yaverland which is the beach at the North end of the bay which also holds Sandown and Shanklin. This quiet beach is a beautiful place to walk and take in the morning sunrise but is also popular with kite surfers and kayakers so there is plenty of action on the water if the natural scenery of the towing cliffs ever gets boring.
The wildlife and fox cubs were photographed at Alum Bay on the far West of the Isle of Wight. Alum Bay adjoins The Needles and is the place where small ferry boat rides take visitors to see the impressive natural rock formations.
The leaves are turning, the nights are drawing in and there is a slight chill in the air, it can only mean one thing – autumn is upon us! The Purbecks are famous for the dramatic coastline and beautiful countryside and autumn with its stunning change in colours is the perfect time to visit.

They are also going to be heading to Brownsea Island, voted Britain’s favourite nature reserve in 2013.
Once you’ve explored the outdoors there are plenty of cosy pubs with roaring log fires to enjoy the gorgeous local autumnal produce. With the busyness of Christmas just around the corner, now is the perfect time to enjoy some peaceful relaxation in the stunning Purbecks, can’t squeeze a break in this year?
