This lovely detached house is very attractively situated, close to the cliff top above Totland Bay, on the west side of the Island. There are sea views from the balcony, bedrooms and dining room and the lighthouse at Hurst Point can be glimpsed in the distance. The sandy bay of Totland where swimming, paddling and boating can be enjoyed is only a 3 minute walk away. This is also a marvellous walking area.

The Granary is a charming cottage, which has been carefully converted from the wing of a large ancient barn dating back to the 17th Century - Ningwood Green Barn. It is nestled in lovely peaceful West Wight countryside but is only a 10 minute drive from the lovely beaches at Colwell Bay & Totland Bay. This is a lovely walking area and their is a National Nature Reserve at nearby Shalfleet.

Lovely stone cottage within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and only a 15 minute walk from the beach at Brook on the West Coast of the Isle of Wight. This is a wonderful walking and cycling area and there are spectacular views of the sea and the white cliffs of Tennyson Down from this charming farm.

Lovely detached bungalow, in a quiet lane, on the outskirts of the pretty village of Brighstone, on the south west side of the Isle of Wight. Wonderful walking and cycling area with bridleways and footpaths at the end of the lane leading up on to Brighstone Downs. From here the Tennyson Trail can be followed to The Needles on the western tip of the Island or inland to Carisbrooke with its medieval castle. The cottage is only 1/2 mile from the village centre with public house for meals, bistro/tea shop, excellent village shop with local produce. The quiet beaches of Brighstone Bay are also nearby.

This pretty thatched cottage, with leaded light windows, stands in beautiful countryside, only a few minutes walk from Calbourne Water Mill. The cottage was designed by John Nash as a lodge for Westover Manor and is a Grade II listed building with wonderful grounds of 3.5 acres. This is a lovely walking area with footpaths very close to the cottage leading to Newbridge, Calbourne and to the downs above Brighstone, linking with the renowned Tennyson trail to Freshwater Bay.

This is a picturesque thatched cottage in the peaceful village of Newbridge, at the heart of rural West Wight. It is situated in a country lane leading to a farm track and there is little passing traffic. Local footpaths lead to Shalfleet Creek and to the Tennyson Trail, from which there are spectacular views across the Solent and the South Coast.

Apple House is situated on the west side of the island, within a 10 minute walk of the beach at Colwell Bay. Here swimming, paddling, fishing and boating can be enjoyed. Totland Bay is also within easy walking distance. The coastal path from this area can be followed westward to Alum Bay, Tennyson Down and The Needles - a wonderful walking area with panoramic sea views. The centre of Freshwater is also within a 10 minute walk.

The delightful Methodist chapel was built in the 1800’s and has been converted into a wonderful cottage. It stands on the outskirts of the pretty village of Brighstone on the south west coast of the island. The village is renowned for its lovely church, thatched cottages, village shops, National Trust shop, public house and teashop. Visitors can walk directly from the cottage and join footpaths to the beach at Chilton Chine (2 miles).

This cottage is beautifully situated in Winkle Street – renowned for being one of the prettiest spots on the island with its lovely stone cottages overlooking a stream. The cottage is in a wonderful walking area with footpaths leading from close to the cottage. The south west coast of the Island, with its many quiet bays, is within a 10 minute drive and the market town of Newport, with its medieval castle, is also nearby. Tennyson Wing is beautifully situated in a lovely rural location above Alum Bay and enjoys panoramic views of nearby downs and across fields to the sea. It is in ‘An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’ - a wonderful walking area within a two minute walk of Tennyson Down and the footpath leads directly to the coastal path. Wonderful walks then extend eastward past Tennyson’s monument to Freshwater Bay, Brook, Brighstone and Niton or westwards to The Needles and Alum Bay. The beach at Alum Bay is within a 25 minute walk – this is renowned for its coloured sands and boat trips can be enjoyed to The Needles. The sandy coves of Totland and Colwell Bay are within a 5 minute drive and here swimming, paddling and fishing can be enjoyed. The small town of Freshwater is also nearby and this has a variety of small shops, public houses, a sports centre with swimming pool and a good golf course. The attractive port and sailing centre of Yarmouth is within a 10 minute drive. Here there are some excellent restaurants, boutique style shops and boat trips along the river or to the mainland.

Visitors can also access a lovely area of garden to the rear of Alum Bay House where there is shared use of a large lawn where one can relax and children can play games. There are wonderful views across surrounding fields to the downs, and to the western reaches of the Solent with the Hampshire coastline in the distance. Tennyson Wing is a non smoking cottage. WiFi Internet is provided free of charge at Tennyson Wing. Tennyson Wing is available for weekly self catering holiday bookings from Saturday to Saturday. The normal arrival time at this holiday cottage is 14:30 and the normal departure time is 10:00. Short break weekend and midweek self catering holidays are available from and 27th October 2018 to 20th December 2018.

The small town of Freshwater is located on the West of the Isle of Wight. The town has an inland part with shops and a seaside part called Freshwater Bay. The bay at Freshwater is known for its stunning beauty and because it makes a pleasant place to enjoy the sea and have a swim.
Freshwater has excellent access to the other coastal location on the West of the Isle of Wight and walks run along the coast in both directions. A walk to The Needles at Alum Bay is a pleasant way to see the dramatic coast. It is also possible to walk to Carisbrooke at the heart of the Island along the Tennyson Downs.
