Introduction

Seabreeze Cottages is a 3 bed­ roomed apartment on 2 floors, ground and first floor. To maximize sea views the sleeping accommodation is on the ground floor whilst the living accommodation is on the first floor.

  • The hall is carpeted with doorways off (min 80cm wide), all with lever handles at 100cm centres, leading to three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The hall leads to a staircase at the far end which serves the living accommodation on the first floor.

  • The ground floor hall and bedrooms are all emulsioned in a pale colour with white skirtings and doors.

  • The light switches are all set at 100cm centres. Bedroom windows are set with sills at 95cm with lockable handles at 150cm centres.

  • Storage heater controls are set at 70cm.

  • There is a low level mirror in the hall at 80cm.

Twin bedroom 1

  • This is the first door on the right and provides two single beds.

  • The beds dimensions are 190cm x 90cm and 50cm max height. The minimum transfer space is 40cm

  • The duvets and pillows are fibre filled polyester with poly-cotton covers.

  • Mattresses are interior sprung. Curtains are poly-cotton and the carpets are polyester. Towels are 100% cotton.

Master bedroom

  • This is the first door on the left, has a 4 poster double bed. A patio door leads from this room to an outside patio area. The door has a threshold and step down.

  • The bed dimensions are 200cm x 150cm (max height 60cm) and the minimum transfer space is 60cm.

  • The duvets and pillows are fibre filled polyester with poly-cotton covers.

  • Mattresses are interior sprung. Curtains are poly-cotton and the carpets are polyester.

  • The bath is plastic and 55cm high with minimum transfer space of 65cm. The taps are 4 spoke twist operated.

  • The WC is low level close coupled with seat at 40cm and lever flush at 75cm. The WC can only be accessed from the front and has a minimum transfer space of 65cm.

Shower Room

  • This is the outward opening door at the end of the hall. The pull chord for the light is at 120cm positioned on the right.

  • The shower room has a quarry tiled floor and provides a shower enclosure, close coupled WC and wash hand basin.

  • The shower enclosure has a bi-fold door with a step and threshold to a max of 5cm, and internal dimensions of 70 x 70 cm with controls at 130cm.

  • The WC is 40cm max height with a lever flush at 70cm. Front access only with a minimum transfer space of 50cm.

It is situated in delightful countryside between the villages of Godshill and Whitwell and is only a 5 minute drive from the coast. The seaside resort of Ventnor is 5 km away and the sandy beaches of Shankllin and Ventnor are within a 10 to 15 minute drive. This is a wonderful walking and cycling area with direct access to a network of footpaths including a wonderful walk along the River Yar which extends from its source in Niton on the south coast to Bembridge, with its beautiful wetland area in the east. The cottage has a secure fenced garden and is well equipped.

Short break weekend and midweek self catering holidays are available from 28th October 2017 to 17th December 2017, 6th January 2018 to 8th February 2018, 17th February 2018 to 22nd March 2018 and 27th October 2018 to 20th December 2018.

Brighstone Beach - The sand and shingle beach at Brighstone is a short walk from the village centre. The West coast beach extends all the way to Blackgang in the South and Freshwater in the West. Find out more about Brighstone Beach.

Walking the Downs - Footpaths from Brighstone take you up onto the Down from which you can take a hill top walk to Freshwater Bay to the West or Carisbrooke to the East. The Down affords wonderful views of the Isle of Wight and some vantage points allow you to see almost the whole of the West side of the Isle of Wight. Alternatively, one can follow the coastal path from Brighstone and enjoy the dramatic coastline towards Alum Bay which takes in Brook and Freshwater Bay.

Two dogs are welcome and the garden has low fencing. Pets are not permitted on the furniture or in the bedrooms. We also ask owners not to leave dogs on their own in the cottage and not to allow them to foul the garden. Puppies and also dogs with incontinence problems are not permitted without specific agreement. Please ensure that your pet's treatment for the prevention of fleas is up to date. We regret that cats are not permitted at this property.
