The lovely town house is one of a pair of properties very attractively situated in the delightful small seaside resort of Shanklin on the south east coast of the Isle of Wight. It enjoys lovely open sea views from its balconies and from the sitting room and second double bedroom. This is combined with open views from the front facing rooms across the coastal aspect of the town towards lovely downland and the Culver Cliffs. The lovely sandy beach of Shanklin is within a 10 minute walk. The sand gently slopes down into the water making it ideal for swimming and paddling. The seafront offers various places to eat plus traditional seaside entertainments and crazy golf. There is easy access via a zig zag path or a lift which descends to the Esplanade. The charming old village of Shanklin is less than a 5 minute walk away. Here there are a variety of pretty thatched cottages, tea shops, a public house and Shanklin Chine which provides another point of access to the sea. Also nearby is Shanklin Theatre and the shopping centre of the town.

Sandcastles has been built on three levels to take full advantage of the views. From the ground floor stairs ascend to a landing with double doors opening into a superb and spacious living room with sea views, comfortable sofas, a flat screen television with Freeview; a delightful dining area with Juliet balcony, a full balcony with an open view of the sea; a superb fitted kitchen with an electric cooker and ceramic hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and washing machine. Also on this floor is a spacious cloakroom with WC and basin. Stairs lead up to three delightful bedrooms - a lovely room with a double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, balcony and a window with an open sea view; a master bedroom with a double bed, wardrobe, Juliet balcony with views across the downs and an en-suite shower room with built in shower, basin and WC; a single bedroom which can accommodate two with the addition of the full size trundle bed; a lovely tiled family bathroom with a bath, overhead shower, basin and WC. A travel cot/high chair can be provided. The house is centrally heated and double glazed. Heating and electricity without extra charge. Complimentary high speed WiFi provided.

Sandcastles has a lovely enclosed terrace accessed from the first floor living areas with garden furniture so that meals can be enjoyed in the sunshine. Visitors can park one car in a garage beneath the property and a second car directly behind it on the driveway. A train service links Shanklin, with Sandown, Brading and Ryde with interlinked boat services to the mainland at Portsmouth. The bus services from Shanklin is also very good making this an ideal location to come without a car.

Really good house all round. Location perfect with short walk to the sea, High Street/Regent Street & also the old village, parking for 2 cars, quality of almost everything better than most holiday rentals, perfectly clean (& a very helpful & friendly cleaner, Tracy, who rang me before arrival so I had contact details if needed, nice touch) so all Read morein all a lovely week. We visit regularly to see friends & will be back for sure, can't recommend higher than that! Hide

We very much enjoyed our stay, Sandcastles is well located to the beach and Shanklin Chine and the high street, immaculately clean and generously equipped even with beach toys in the garage! We visited the Needles, Blankgang Chine, days on the various beaches and The whole family loved it and would certainly return.

This property was lovely. We spent Christmas here with our young family and dog. It is located near the beach and the views from the house are amazing. The kitchen was well equipped plenty of plates to use. Also good to have off street parking in a very busy road.

The Sand Castles property was lovely. It was very clean and well equipped. The arrangements for gaining access were good and we would highly recommend staying here. Absolutely nothing bad to say about it !!

A beautiful house with lovely sea views in a great location close to Shanklin old town and the Chine. It was very clean and comfortable, and had everything you could possibly need. We loved our stay, and would definitely recommend. The McHale family.

Sandcastles location is just perfect, walking distance to beach, town centre and train station. The property is very clean, well equipped, spacious, very comfortable and the on site parking is a real bonus. This was our second visit and Im sure it wont be our last.
