Lovely detached bungalow, in a quiet lane, on the outskirts of the pretty village of Brighstone, on the south west side of the Isle of Wight. Wonderful walking and cycling area with bridleways and footpaths at the end of the lane leading up on to Brighstone Downs. From here the Tennyson Trail can be followed to The Needles on the western tip of the Island or inland to Carisbrooke with its medieval castle. The cottage is only 1/2 mile from the village centre with public house for meals, bistro/tea shop, excellent village shop with local produce. The quiet beaches of Brighstone Bay are also nearby.

The delightful Methodist chapel was built in the 1800’s and has been converted into a wonderful cottage. It stands on the outskirts of the pretty village of Brighstone on the south west coast of the island. The village is renowned for its lovely church, thatched cottages, village shops, National Trust shop, public house and teashop. Visitors can walk directly from the cottage and join footpaths to the beach at Chilton Chine (2 miles).

This lovely stone cottage is situated in the small rural hamlet of Bowcombe which stands between the pretty village of Shorwell and Carisbrooke with its medieval castle. Shorwell and Carisbrooke are both within a 5 minute drive and have public houses which are good for meals. The cottage offers easy access to the small bays and coves on the south west side of the Isle of Wight. Brighstone beach is within a 10 minute drive and the larger sandy beaches of Ventnor and Shanklin are within a 20 minute drive.

Manor Stable is situated on a lovely farm in beautiful South Wight countryside. It is a marvellous walking area with footpaths that can be followed directly from the cottage in most directions. There are particularly attractive walks along the course of the river Yar; to the picturesque village of Godshill and to the nearby village of Arreton which has a public house, farm shop and cafe for meals. The cottage is excellent for cyclists as there is access to a network of cycle paths directly from the farm and arrangements can be make for the storage of bikes. The sandy beaches of Sandown, Shanklin and Ventnor are all within a 15 minute drive. Ferry bookings can be made at greatly discounted prices.

This lovely stone cottage is built of Isle of Wight Stone and has been converted from an ancient stone barn. Byre Cottage is situated in a small country lane in attractive countryside. This is a lovely walking area and footpaths lead from close to the cottage to the beautiful downs above Ventnor. Byre Cottage is only 1.5 miles from the centre of the seaside town of Shanklin with its wonderful sandy beach which is popular for swimming and paddling. The neighbouring seaside towns of Sandown and Ventnor are within a 10 minute drive.

This lovely stone cottage was originally a large and ancient stone barn at Sainham Farm. It is situated in the attractive courtyard and has marvellous open views from the rear across the fields to the downs. Stag Cottage is in one of the loveliest parts of the Island lying at the foot of Appuldurcombe Down and above the picturesque village of Godshill in ‘An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty'. Godshill can be reached by taking a pleasant stroll through the beech copse and across the fields. The village has a variety of tea shops and restaurants as well as two public houses.

The sea is within a 15 minute walk and there is easy access to the wonderful coastal path which extends from the village of Niton to The Needles on the western tip of the Isle of Wight. The small resort of Ventnor is within a 15 minute drive and there is easy access to a number of small quiet bays on the south west side of the Island.

Delightful self catering cottage at Totland within a 12 minute walk of the sandy beaches of Colwell Bay and Totland Bay. This west side of the island is a wonderful walking area with easy access to the coastal path to The Needles and marvellous downland walks and bike rides. The centre of the small market town of Freshwater is within a 15 minute walk and this offers a good range of shops, public houses and restaurants plus a sports centre with indoor pool and a golf course with panoramic views. Romany Cottage is furnished and equipped to a high standard and an open fire in the sitting room and a wood burning stove in the dining area. These fires provide a lovely central focus in colder weather. In the warmth of summer three sets of french doors can be opened from the ground floor rooms into the garden giving the cottage a lovely open feel - the garden is a delightful protected spot to enjoy a barbecue and drinks in the sunshine.

Two Mead Cottage is one of a pair of cottages which stand in the attractive rural hamlet of Alverstone and is less than a 5 minute drive from the lovely sandy beaches of Sandown on the east coast of the Island. The cottage is located on a small 12 acre farm which is home to horses, cows and a few free range chickens. The farm is in “An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty” and has a charming large pond which attracts ducks, moorhens and the occasional heron.

This lovely thatched cottage dates back to 1701. It is full of character with exposed beams and inglenook fireplaces. It stands in ‘An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’ with views of Brighstone Downs. The pretty village of Brighstone village with its tea rooms, public house and village shops is within a 15 minute stroll. The cottage is only a mile from the coast and here there are several quiet sandy coves. This is a wonderful walking area with footpaths leading from the cottage onto the downs and along the coast. The nearby coastal path offers some of the most beautiful and dramatic views and crosses Tennyson Down to the Needles on the western tip of the island.
Old Rock Cottage is a beautiful detached property which has been renovated to a high standard. There is an attractive mixture of natural stone floors and cream carpets which give a feeling of comfort and space. Upstairs there are two lovely bedrooms - one double room and one twin room. On the ground floor there is an attractive single bedroom; a well equipped kitchen with fitted units, real wood work tops, an electric oven and hob, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, washing machine and small dishwasher; a bathroom with bath, overhead shower, W.C and basin. There is also a pretty sitting room with an inglenook fireplace, a sofa, an elderly piano (not tuned) and a wonderful old grandfather clock. A second sitting area has an attractive fireplace, sofas and television with Sky & DVD. There is a dining area and spacious conservatory style room with lovely views. French doors lead outside to an area of decking. Garden furniture is provided. To the side of the cottage is a secluded, heated swimming pool available from the end of May to the end of September. (It may be possible to arrange to use the pool towards the end of April and into October for an extra charge of £100 to £150). The cottage is centrally heated. Heating and electricity are provided at no additional charge. (It is not possible to have an open fire). An extra pull out bed, travel cot and high chair can be provided. (Please be aware that the pull out bed can only be used in the single bedroom). Telephone available and WiFi broadband internet is provided.
Old Rock Cottage has a large secluded garden of ¾ acre with lawns and shrubberies. Steps lead down from the pool area to the lawn and here games can be played. Children need to be closely supervised due to the swimming pool; a drop from the balcony into the lower garden; and a stream that runs along the western boundary of the property. There is parking space for 3 cars in the drive at the side of the cottage. Bus service 15 minutes walk
Nearby places to visit include Mottiston Manor, the lovely gardens of which are owned by the National Trust ; the pottery at Chessell; and Blackgang Chine Adventure Park. The small town of Freshwater is within a 10 minute drive and the larger market town of Newport, with its medieval castle of Carisbrooke, is only a 20 minute drive away. There is also the delightful coastal town of Yarmouth nearby. This is a renowned sailing centre offering a variety of good restaurants and charming shops.

Walking the Downs - Footpaths from Brighstone take you up onto the Down from which you can take a hill top walk to Freshwater Bay to the West or Carisbrooke to the East. The Down affords wonderful views of the Isle of Wight and some vantage points allow you to see almost the whole of the West side of the Isle of Wight. Alternatively, one can follow the coastal path from Brighstone and enjoy the dramatic coastline towards Alum Bay which takes in Brook and Freshwater Bay.
The ride starts in Freshwater Bay, joins a cycle track on the edge of Freshwater town going to Yarmouth. After seeing Yarmouth, with it's castle and boutique shops, the route continues to Totland and Totland Bay, where there is a beautiful beach, and on towards Alum Bay where we turn back towards Freshwater.

The West of the Isle of Wight is best known for its unspoilt nature and dramatic coastline. The areas is far less commercialised and the many of the beaches can be enjoyed almost to ones self.
