Milton Stables is situated on the south west side of the Isle of Wight within a 5 minute walk of Freshwater Bay, Tennyson Down and the coastal path which is particularly dramatic on its route westwards to The Needles. It is a detached property which has been converted from original stables - renovated with care to provide spacious, light and comfortable accommodation for 4 people with a large plan open plan living room with doors opening onto the courtyard garden; a fitted kitchen, and wet room. There is a ground floor twin room and upstairs there is a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and a small sitting room. The cottage has an enclosed courtyard which is fenced and gated. This picturesque thatched cottage is very attractively situated, in peaceful surroundings overlooking Pound Green, on the outskirts of Freshwater. It is within a 15 minute walk of Freshwater Bay and Totland Bay. The sandy cove of Colwell is also nearby. The centre of Freshwater is five minutes walk away. Here there are a small number of shops, a public house for meals and a leisure club with indoor swimming pool.

Lovely farm cottage with delightful rural views across lakes to the downs beyond. The picturesque farm is in a wonderful cycling and walking area with direct access to a network of cycle paths, footpaths and bridleways, and private access to the Stenbury Trail which ultimately extends from Cowes to the coast at Ventnor. The Tennyson Trail extending to the western tip of the island is also easily reached. The cottage has been furnished and equipped with care to a high standard and offers charming accommodation in beautiful surroundings with ducks, swans and a huge variety of other wildlife including red squirrels as constant visitors. Horses are kept on the farm and trout fishing can be arranged. The central location of the cottage makes it an ideal base for touring the island.

The small town of Freshwater is located on the West of the Isle of Wight. The town has an inland part with shops and a seaside part called Freshwater Bay. The bay at Freshwater is known for its stunning beauty and because it makes a pleasant place to enjoy the sea and have a swim.

Freshwater has excellent access to the other coastal location on the West of the Isle of Wight and walks run along the coast in both directions. A walk to The Needles at Alum Bay is a pleasant way to see the dramatic coast. It is also possible to walk to Carisbrooke at the heart of the Island along the Tennyson Downs.

Specific Pet Policy for Milton Stables

One dog welcome. Consideration given to a second dog by agreement. The front courtyard is securely fenced and gated. Pets are not permitted on the furniture and should not be allowed to foul the garden. Dogs can be left on their own in the property for periods as long as they are not likely to be noisy or destructive. Puppies and also dogs with incontinence problems are not permitted without specific agreement. Please ensure that your pet's treatment for the prevention of fleas is up to date.
