Wonderful place, cottage, facilities, interior, location, perfect! We hope to come back in the future. Despite a week of mostly cloud and rain we had a wonderful time because the cottage really felt like home! We did not want to leave. The Island remains magic, a real sense of leaving the mainland. Lovely people, more laid back, The organic shop across the road from the cottage, is fantastic, its all you might need, including freshly baked bread. Our dog had a fantastic holiday too, safe and secure both in front and rear garden. With privacy, yet assistance if you needed it. Thank you. Cottage Rating: 5 Stars

A very cosy cottage with all Mod.cons. Ideally situated in the centre of the Isle with frequent bus service. Very nice reasonably priced Pub/Restaurants in nearby Godshill. One or two of the Islands attractions have been spoilt by over commercialisation which is a pity, otherwise a lovely visit. Cottage Rating: 5 Stars

A beautiful cottage in beautiful surroundings, very quiet and relaxing. A car is essential to get to the local village / shops as the country lanes are not suitable for walking along, especially with children.

[Island Cottage Holidays Note] Thanks to this comment of Julian's we now include directions and a map for getting into Godshill by foot which avoids the main road. This route is found in the 'Godshill, East Isle of Wight' section.

The cottage is very well situated to take many trips to the island. It is very quiet, right next to a riding stable. The owners are very nice, but you have peace and quiet! Highly recommended, especially with kids! (translated) Cottage Rating: 5 Stars

WE HAD A VERY LOVELY HOLIDAY AND WE WERE VERY COMFORTABLE. EVERYTHING WE NEEDED WAS THERE. WE WILL DEFINITELY GO BACK AGAIN SOMETIME. THE OWNER WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND EVEN SENT AN ITEM OF CLOTHING BACK TO US THAT WE LEFT BEHIND. Cottage Rating: 5 Stars

Saskia L - May 2012

Frederick G - Apr 2012

A very cosy cottage with all Mod.cons. Ideally situated in the centre of the Isle with frequent bus service. Very nice reasonably priced Pub/Restaurants in nearby Godshill. One or two of the Islands attractions have been spoilt by over commercialisation which is a pity, otherwise a lovely visit. Cottage Rating: 5 Stars

Jacqueline H - Nov 2011

Gorgeous cottage which was very comfortable and tastefully furnished. The interior was absolutely immaculate and the beds were so very comfortable. We had a brilliant week at Hayloft Cottage - great location and a warm welcome. Appreciated the complimentary bottle of wine on arrival - thank you. Cottage Rating: 5 Stars

Julian J - Aug 2011

A beautiful cottage in beautiful surroundings, very quiet and relaxing. A car is essential to get to the local village / shops as the country lanes are not suitable for walking along, especially with children.

[Island Cottage Holidays Note] Thanks to this comment of Julian's we now include directions and a map for getting into Godshill by foot which avoids the main road. This route is found in the 'Godshill, East Isle of Wight' section.

Continue up the trail to the Freemantle Gate (photo of the Freemantle Gate) which you pass thought and follow the path which bears left across the fields towards Appuldurcombe and Wroxall. There is a wide flat cycle way that runs from Wroxall to Shanklin. The track starts below the old railway bridge in the centre of Wroxall.
