East Isle of Wight Information

The East of the Isle of Wight is best known for its sandy beaches and traditional seaside holiday resorts. The coast on this part of the Isle of Wight has excellent opportunities for swimming, relaxing on the beach and enjoying a traditional family holiday by the sea. The beach resorts of Shanklin and Sandown are the more popular resorts on the coast but excellent beaches can also be found at Seaview, St Helens, Bembridge and Whitecliff. Details of beaches on the Isle of Wight can be found at www.wightinfo.co.uk/outdoors-activities/beaches

The East of the Isle of Wight also enjoys beautiful rural areas which are crisscrossed by numerous footpaths and cycle paths. A coastal path running the length of the East Coast and on around the Island allows walkers to enjoy the splendid seascapes and take tea in numerous cafes and restaurants along the way.
