The Granary is a charming cottage, which has been carefully converted from the wing of a large ancient barn dating back to the 17th Century - Ningwood Green Barn. It is nestled in lovely peaceful West Wight countryside. This is a lovely walking area and is not too far from the coastal path. Children of 6 years or over welcome. Charming detached cottage attractively situated in beautiful west Wight countryside. It is in a delightful walking area with easy access to Brighstone Forest and wonderful coastal walks plus the Tennyson Trail. The harbour of Yarmouth, with is sailing boats and excellent restaurants, is within a 10 minute drive. Also nearby are the sandy bays of Totland and Colwell. The cottage has 4 bedrooms (one on the ground floor) - two of the bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms and there is a family bathroom plus a cloakroom with WC and basin. The cottage has been furnished and equipped to a high standard and has a lovely large enclosed garden.

This estuary, which is only a few minutes walk from the farmhouse, is part of a National Nature Reserve and is in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is situated in delightful countryside between the villages of Godshill and Whitwell and is only a 5 minute drive from the coast. The seaside resort of Ventnor is 5 km away and the sandy beaches of Shankllin and Ventnor are within a 10 to 15 minute drive. This is a wonderful walking and cycling area with direct access to a network of footpaths including a wonderful walk along the River Yar which extends from its source in Niton on the south coast to Bembridge, with its beautiful wetland area in the east. The cottage has a secure fenced garden and is well equipped.

The Granary is a non smoking cottage. WiFi Internet is provided free of charge at The Granary. The Granary is available for weekly self catering holiday bookings from Saturday to Saturday. The normal arrival time at this holiday cottage is 14:30 and the normal departure time is 10:00. Short break weekend and midweek self catering holidays are available from 28th October 2017 to 17th December 2017, 6th January 2018 to 8th February 2018, 17th February 2018 to 22nd March 2018 and 27th October 2018 to 20th December 2018.

The ride starts in Freshwater Bay, joins a cycle track on the edge of Freshwater town going to Yarmouth. After seeing Yarmouth, with it's castle and boutique shops, the route continues to Totland and Totland Bay, where there is a beautiful beach, and on towards Alum Bay where we turn back towards Freshwater.

The West of the Isle of Wight is best known for its unspoilt nature and dramatic coastline. The areas is far less commercialised and the many of the beaches can be enjoyed almost to ones self.
