Lovely traditional thatched cottage situated within a few minutes walk of the centre of the lovely village of Brighstone on the south west side of the Isle of Wight. The village is renowned for its pretty centre with several thatched stone cottages. There is also a public house and a small bistro/tea shop. The beach at Brighstone is within a pleasant 15 minute walk. This is also a wonderful walking and cycling area with easy access to the coastal path plus the beautiful downs which link Carisbrooke and The Needles on the western tip of the Isle of Wight. Introduction

Apple Tree Cottage is a beautiful Thatched cottage over 300 years old. It has three double bedrooms, (one being downstairs) and two bathrooms (again one being downstairs with a walk in shower). Entrance porch, Fully fitted kitchen, dining room and large lounge. The cottage is full of character with the original large inglenook fireplace in one of the bedrooms. The cottage does have low beamed ceilings (in the ground floor dining and bedroom) which adds to the character. Outside there is a large garden overlooking fields, Large shed. Garage space and parking. A five minute walk into the village with a Church, Shop, Post office, Public House, hairdressers and Doctors Surgery amongst a few.

Rectory Cottage is close to the centre of the pretty village of Brighstone on the south west coast of the Isle of Wight in 'An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty'. It is only a mile from the sea and is in a wonderful walking and cycling area. The cottage has recently been renovated to provide very attractive centrally heated accommodation with a walled courtyard style garden. There are lovely open views across fields to the downs and with glimpses of the sea from the upper bedrooms.

Within a short walk is the centre of the village of Bonchurch where there is a village pond and excellent local restaurant. The beach at nearby Ventnor is a popular holiday attraction.

Within a 2 minute walk of an attractive beach on the beautiful south west coast of the Isle of Wight. Here visitors can enjoy swimming, fishing and paddling. The cottage stands on high ground and there are sea and coastal views from the property. Visitors can relax in the sitting room or on the balcony and watch the sailing boats pass by.

Appletree Cottage is a non smoking cottage. WiFi Internet is provided free of charge at Appletree Cottage. Appletree Cottage is available for weekly self catering holiday bookings from Saturday to Saturday. The normal arrival time at this holiday cottage is 15:00 and the normal departure time is 10:00. Short break weekend and midweek self catering holidays are available from 28th October 2017 to 17th December 2017, 6th January 2018 to 8th February 2018, 17th February 2018 to 22nd March 2018 and 27th October 2018 to 20th December 2018.

To See and Do Around Brighstone, Isle of Wight

Brighstone Beach - The sand and shingle beach at Brighstone is a short walk from the village centre. The West coast beach extends all the way to Blackgang in the South and Freshwater in the West. Find out more about Brighstone Beach.

Walking the Downs - Footpaths from Brighstone take you up onto the Down from which you can take a hill top walk to Freshwater Bay to the West or Carisbrooke to the East. The Down affords wonderful views of the Isle of Wight and some vantage points allow you to see almost the whole of the West side of the Isle of Wight. Alternatively, one can follow the coastal path from Brighstone and enjoy the dramatic coastline towards Alum Bay which takes in Brook and Freshwater Bay.

Specific Pet Policy for Appletree Cottage

One small to medium sized dog is welcome at the cottage. Please note that the garden at the cottage is not fenced or gated. Pets are not permitted upstairs, on the furniture or in the bedrooms. We ask owners not to leave dogs on their own in the cottage and not to allow them to foul the garden. Puppies and also dogs with incontinence problems are not permitted without specific agreement. Please ensure that your pet's treatment for the prevention of fleas is up to date.
