Spacious detached property offering contemporary-style accommodation for six guests, with spacious lawned gardens and a bubbling hot tub, enjoying a quiet location in a sleepy hamlet.

This lovely, detached house is peacefully situated in a small hamlet in beautiful countryside and adjacent to Parkhurst Forest; a large forest offering a fantastic walking and cycling area, where red squirrels and a variety of wildlife can be seen. Yew Tree House is in a rural location, but at the same time is only a ten-minute drive from the central market town of Newport with its variety of shops, public houses and restaurants, plus medieval castle at Carisbrooke. Similarly, Cowes and the beaches of Gurnard and Thorness Bay are within a ten-minute drive. Cowes is a renowned sailing centre and is close to the picturesque Island home of Queen Victoria, Osborne House. The house is also within a short drive of Newtown Estuary which is part of a National Nature reserve and is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is home to countless wildfowl and rare wading birds. This is a unique and peaceful area for walking and bird watching.

Yew Tree House provides light and spacious accommodation for six people in three bedrooms which is centrally heated and double glazed. The house has been furnished and equipped with care and contains a charming eclectic mix of items from around the world. On the ground floor there is a spacious hallway; a large kitchen equipped with fitted units, an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer; an open dining area with an oak table and chairs, plus a sofa for relaxing and French doors opening into the garden; a separate utility area with a sink, washing machine, tumble dryer and second refrigerator; two bright bedrooms; one twin room with a large bay window overlooking the forest, and a double bedroom, plus a tiled bathroom with bath, overhead shower, basin and W.C.

Stairs lead up to a landing giving access to the sitting room - a light and airy room with extensive windows overlooking the garden, furnished with a leather sofa and chairs, wood burning stove, and wide screen television with Freeview and DVD player. Upstairs there is also the master bedroom with a double bed, wardrobe and en-suite shower room with built in shower, basin and WC. A folding bed can be provided to sleep an additional child or to enable two children to sleep separately. A travel cot and high chair can also be made available. Central heating and electricity is without extra charge. WiFi internet can be provided.

Yew Tree House has a large enclosed garden with an extensive lawn, shrubberies and trees. This is a tranquil oasis which is home to a variety of birds and wildlife. Garden furniture is provided and there is a terrace beside the house with a barbecue so that meals can be enjoyed outside. A large hot tub which will accommodate six people is available by prior arrangement at an additional cost from June onwards. There is an open-plan garden at the front of the house with parking for three cars in the drive. A public house and supermarket are within five minutes drive.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Please note there is a refundable £150 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.

A wonderfully furnished holiday home which totally felt like the owners had moved out for us. Everything you could imagine had been provided and the house was spotless and extremely well equipped.. Located in a peaceful location with a beautiful garden and fabulous hot tub.

We very much enjoyed this spacious and outstandingly furnished cottage. You feel that the landlords lived here as every piece of furniture has a personal touch. The enormous library, huge garden and fun Jacuzzi are enjoyable in any weather. The landlords were very approachable and we had several interesting conversations.
