Delightful Grade II listed cottage dating from the 15th century, offering attractive period-style accommodation for three guests, located in the quiet hamlet of St Lawrence on the Isle of Wight’s south coast.

This pretty stone cottage is attractively situated in a quiet lane in the coastal hamlet of St Lawrence, on the South East coast of the Island. There are several idyllic coves nearby - Steephill Cove is perhaps the favourite. The beach and coastal resort of Ventnor is within a five-minute drive. Here, swimming, paddling, fishing and a variety of entertainments can be enjoyed. There are a number of shops, public houses and great places to eat including a Michelin Star restaurant. The larger beaches of Shanklin and Sandown are within a 10 to 15 minute drive, and there is also easy access to the south west side of the island - another area of dramatic coastline and also a wonderful walking area. The rocky beach of Woody Bay is within an eight-minute walk of the cottage.

Vestry Cottage dates back to the 15th Century and is a Grade II listed building standing in An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This quaint, semi-detached cottage provides comfortable accommodation for three people in two bedrooms. It has been furnished and equipped with great care and many original features have been retained - including wooden beams, the beautiful doorway and pretty windows. The accommodation is all on one level.

There is an open-plan fitted kitchen which has been newly equipped. This has hard wood work tops, a Belfast sink, cooker, induction hob, microwave, slim line dishwasher, washer dryer and fridge freezer. There is a small dining area in the kitchen and a separate sitting room with a comfortable sofa and chairs, a flat screen TV with Sky Q and DVD player, as well as a warming wood burning stove, a beamed ceiling and wooden shutters on the windows. There is a shower room equipped with a built in shower, basin and WC; two bedrooms - one double room, and one single room with a shorter bed suitable for a child - 6ft in length. WiFi internet is available. Electricity and central heating are provided at no extra charge for internal use only up to temperatures of 22 degrees. If higher temperatures are required additional heating charges apply at cost price.

The cottage has a pretty English Country style garden which is largely paved, and is walled and gated. Garden furniture and a barbecue are provided so that meals can be enjoyed in the sunshine. The sea can be glimpsed from the drive where there is parking for one car. An additional car could be parked in the quiet lane. Nearby places to visit include Ventnor Botanical Gardens, The Isle of Wight Glass Studio, St Catherine's Lighthouse and Blackgang Adventure Park.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Please note there is a refundable £100 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.

Property was very comfy cosy with lots of added extras and we received a lovely welcome basket with provisions for a fried breakfast and tea, cakes and biscuits. The property is situated in a lovely part of the island but due to steep hills and narrow roads walks without using the car are very restrictive

Lovely period cottage well situated with everything you could want and the best welcome hamper we have ever had. Phone call from owner making sure we had arrived okay and that everything was okay. Beautiful private garden area well equipped for sitting and chilling out in the evenings. Log fire if it gets a little chilly. Didnt want to come home.
